When you look at the Pacers they’ve beat some great teams and coaches.

    Rivers

    Atkinson

    Thibadough

And look who Haliburton is scoring against Gianis Onoby Bridges.

Haliburton plays with what the game gives to him. It’s very hard from a defensive standpoint to play against guards like Nembard and Haliburton because they both can shoot penetrate then you throw in Neismith and Pascal and Turner.

the whole starting lineup can shoot threes. It spaces the floor opens up the defense. So you’re constantly running you can’t load down low and sag off. There’s always the perimeter open. You could see defenders didn’t want to have Pascal open which freed up Haliburton.

Offense run to perfection. This is Denver with depth.

Mathurian Toppin Mconell all guys capable of giving starters the depth they need so they can be fresh for fourth quarter runs. When you really scout and analyze this roster and team OKC sees themselves. Pacers have always played the Lakers tough. I respect this team.

OKC is a scrappy team. But the Pacers have this monkey on their back that nobody believes in them. Nobody says they should win. And win you keep winning and advancing the monkey gets bigger and bigger. Championship is their mindset. One game at a time. They just taste the championship and want it. That’s resilient basketball. You just gotta have it. These Pacers just keep playing.

they do little things like not call timeout to allow OKC to set their defense. Chris Finch would’ve called timeout cause he’s a buster.

Carlisle is a savage. That’s why you hire guys like that because in game management is priceless.

So they think, that they should have won more Championships or something? They may be more delusional, than Lakers fans are.

No .They hate Kerr as we hated Byron and Ham
And IMHO team USA lost world cup because of Kerr ,he loves small ball that he refused to play Kessler vs Germany

Yep. I'd rather just try to sign Precious on a prove it deal than give up draft capital.

Nah, that's a little dramatic. Fans slightly over rate the guy though. Like AR, his contract looked more attractive last season, but is also going to need a new deal soon. Fans were going gaga over Kessler even before we got Luka. But to us, I feel his value has obviously increased even more (specifically for us), due to Luka preferring a lob-threat big. Now, there are a few lob-threat options with major worts in their game. Williams is a terrific offensive player (who we already traded for once) has injury issues, and is a bad defender. Duren is a lob-threat monster, but is a mediocre rim-protector and switch defender at best. Don't get me wrong, I would not mind him either of these guys at all, especially Duren. Kessler, Claxton, and Allen might be the best options, if you are looking for a combination of lob-catching, rim-protection, and switchy defense.

As Ive stated I admire the Pacers for never going Process and tanking. Tried to be good and just get better each season.

I can't think of any other team that won the NBA title without player drafted as a top 5 pick. That's an insane accomplishment

Milwaukee and Toronto? Interestingly that great overachieving Dallas Mavericks 2011 Championship team, had about 6 or 7 guys picked in the top 10.

Let me give yall a little behind the scenes.

I’ve known Massaji since my cousin was trying to get me to hire him. When I was in the league. He was a scout with the Denver Nuggets and used to go to Africa for the Basketball Africa program. He was a big part of that putting that whole thing together.

The guy has always been tight with Gianiss. And Toronto is probably close to acquiring him.

Kidd coached Gianiss. Basically developed him and has a great relationship with him. This is probably why New York fired Thiboudeu. They probably got word Gianiss would come if Kidd was hired or entertain going there.

So New York wants to get him in place for Gianiss.

New York is gonna have to fork up. Milwaukee is going to want a ransom probably focused on Bridges OG Milwaukee probably wants OG New York has no picks. So what OG Mitchell Robinson???

    Toronto has a better package.

Barnes Ingram Gianiss will want some of those players to stay so we shall see. Get your popcorn ready.

I’m fine stay with our guys. Hachimura Reaves Knect. We have a great balance of players and depth.

Center Capela Reed Lopez Jordan we okay!!!!!

As we see with Indiana don’t trade the depth. Don’t ship everything out for Claxton.

Keep that 2031 1st round pick for a bigger trade.

Phoenix gonna have to take it on the chin with Durant.

Durant to the Spurs makes them a legit contender but he’s not a defender. They have a legit number 1 scorer now. And they have Fox.

Who knows what the league will make them part with the league for some reason let’s allows the Spurs to acquire all this top talent without giving anybody or anything up.

Kl99, you have had so many posts since joining LB that it’s entirely possible I’ve missed one or a few. Has there been one or more that explained how you are able to say that above and another recently talking about Klay Thompson yesterday or the day before sounding as though you’ve been in some organizational level of the NBA with a team or teams?

The national TV audience for Game 1 wasn’t commensurate with the sheer entertainment value on display. (There’s no accounting for taste.) Per Nielsen, ABC’s broadcast served up an average audience of 8.91 million viewers, down 19% from the analogous Mavericks-C Bags game in 2024 (10.99 million), while earning the dubious distinction of being the least-watched NBA Finals opener this side of the pandemic-blighted series in 2020 and 2021. (Prior to Thursday’s broadcast, the lowest delivery for a regularly-scheduled Game 1 was the 9.21 million viewers ABC managed with the 2007 Spurs-Cavaliers title tilt, a quick four-night set that remains the least-watched complete NBA Finals on record.)
