He's way more athletic than Chuck Hayes! Chuck was nailed to the ground most of the time... I'd love if he could play like that though.
Agreed... Just from the looks of him. Compact...moves people around. I should have said a rich man's Chuck Hayes.
If he can be a more athletic Chuck Hayes, I'm cool with it. I'm REALLY cool with it. Chuck was a nasty little defender.
If Chuck Hayes played all his games against us he'd be the second coming of the Mailman. Over the years that guy has OWNED us and who ever we put out that at PF.
Oh man, I couldn't stop laughing for about a minute. Who's commentating, Marv Albert and Doug Collins?
Chuck hayes is no where near the athlete tarik is. Hayes was one of the best undersized [6'6] pf/c that played great positional one on one defense. Tarik is more of a ben wallace with improving man to man defense.
My goodness... how do you get to that point? Coaches saw that in practice and said "yeah I'm comfortable with that".
I was going to post essentially that. He can play PF against some players, but he doesn't have the offensive repertoire to operate more than 6-8' from the basket. He can bully guys, but he needs to be close to the rim to make that happen most effectively.
Ahahaha, Iverson was saying, "he traveled, he traveled", classic. Tarik actually does remind me of Hayes somewhat, I was thinking that the other day, just taller and more athletic, higher ceiling for sure. And not to derail this thread, but IMO this free throw is worse at at least just as bad as Hayes I don't care if they went in. He looks like a little kid shooting a ball for the first time. He looks like this one friend I had that was way more into school than sports, but he still played ball with us a few times with hilarious results. He looks like my little sister when she first shot a basketball. If I shot free throws like that I'd hide it. I'd shoot it granny-style. I'd fake an injury. I'd pray I never got fouled. I'd just stand in place and chuck the ball at the rim, make or miss, rather than showing my true form, good lord.
