Herb Jones is a Jalen Mcdaniels type 3-D small forward.

Off topic. I don’t think Presti should get all that credit.

Kevin Durant was a hall of fame talent when he signed with Texas. He was gifted Durant.

Harden was great in Compton. And a pure scorer in College. I’ll give him some credit on that. Still didn’t draft Curry lol.

Now Russell Westbrook I’ll give him credit he was so developmental at UCLA.

Jalen Williams I’ll give him credit. He did a great job on him. I didn’t know a lot about him coming out of Santa Clara.

You get no credit on Shai. He was developed on the Clippers. That’s all Jerry West and you got him because of Paul George. He’s basically been the center of your second rebuild.

and you get No credit on Chet Holmgren. Everybody would’ve taken him after Palo Banchero.

    one ring to zero, currently.

presti has operated in a zero pressure environment and managed to not get fired after bungling a budding dynasty once. most people don't get a second chance.

the hero worship of general managers actually cracks me up when the difference between these guys is pretty negligible. like, daryl morey isn't special. he had one good idea, imo (using cap space to lock in cheap second round contracts on team-friendly deals), and got lucky when the league decided harden needed to be a superstar instead of just an allstar.

anyway, we can play these games all day. but my opinion is it's much easier to succeed when nobody expects anything of you. so presti doesn't impress me. i'm honestly more impressed with brad stevens (so you can't just say i'm biased, as i hate boston).

you put presti here, and he has one ring, just like rob, imo. he probably trades for westbrook, too, lol.

Pacers doing something on historic level

Of the four teams in the Conference Finals , the Knicks’ starting lineup has, by far, the worst Net Rating.

Yet, the Knicks starting lineup have played, by far, the most minutes together.

    Knicks Starting 5:
    292 minutes played
    -8.0 Net Rating

    Pacers Starting 5:
    184 minutes played
    +19.3 Net Rating

The Knicks’ Starting 5 were on the floor together for 25 minutes and 50 seconds last night and gave up 77 points.

A Defensive Rating of 167.4 and a Net Rating of -47.8

Of course you would say that, you are Pinocchio's Johnnie Cochran around these parts. Every mediocre decision that he makes, comes with an immediate asterisk from the Professor. It's really Lebron, Klutch, Kurt or Linda, Phil, Magic, Jeanie! It's NEVER all on Pinocchio. " He's really doing the best job anyone can reasonably expect, given our weird hierarchy!"

Rob Bob bungled a budding dynasty himself, starting immediately after winning a chip. Then again, fat boy Gasol, was " Our best center since Shaq!" Lol

Interesting that every single move Magic made, was absolutely all on him though! Damn all the above mentioned "barriers " Rob faced.

Curiously, Rob's performance as Magic's GM, gets pushed aside in the narrative that, it was " All Magic!" too.

I got all of it. That’s bull Magic traded Ivicia Zubac for freggin Mike Muscala what????? And toilet tissue. That was dumb as an ox. Could’ve used him now.

So Magic had his moments Lonzo Ball over Jayson Tatum.

Rob scouted got Austin Reeves outa Arkansas in the second round.

Rob got Kyle Kuzma. Rob’s got a tremendous track record of scouting talent.

I like him A LOT, but that's a BIG ask. How's that ask of multiple firsts for Grant working out for you guys? They overvalue their guys until they can't move them AND they hate us.

We have to give Davis a lot more credit. He forced a trade to the Lakers. He didn’t say I’ll open up my options to Golden State New York Boston Miami.

That trade was centered around Klutch and LeBron. So as much as people want to talk about run Lebron outa town. It ain’t happening. This is a buisness working relationship with Klutch and Lebron. Everybody talk that Rich Paul ish. He don’t run Klutch Lebron does. Rich is the face. The Lakers know where there bread is buttured.

And with other superstars on Klutch anything is possible. Like Anthony Edwards.

I remember the press conference. Kobe didn’t want the job. But he recommended Rob. Jeanie was very adamant that this hire be a Laker hire. Rob already had experience doing contracts. But he leaned on a great scouting department headed by Jessie Buss. Lot of tension because Jerry thought Ryan West should’ve got the job and was willing to come back with his son and work with him. That’s the whole Laker front office shuffle. And Jim Buss actually has a good eye for talent for bigs. Andrew Bynum and Ivivia Zubsc Zubac. Where his guys ave and picks. I’m just calling balls and strikes.

Pinocchio was the GM, during all that wasn't he? Supposedly HE did all the work, Magic just took all the credit.

Austin thought he was headed to Milwaukee according to him. That Rob "discovered " Austin Reaves gets overblown. Hell..he had Austin on a 2 way contract, supposedly Lebron and AD, are the ones that demanded that Reaves got a regular deal after seeing him in person.

ring. got lebron, AD, and luka.

but pejorative nicknames will win the day.

i notice that you don't actually name his worst move: letting caruso walk. but that's because you were totally on board with it because those guys are a dime-a-dozen and lebron made him, lol.

Not so fast. I said Caruso was better than Tucker. I also said one of them wasn't coming back. The quote was " Role players can be replaced " that still stands, you just have to pick better replacements though. There are a whole bunch of guys, that would fit around Lebron and Luka, let's see if Pinocchio finds a few more this summer.

Stop stop stop no Kap in here.

everybody knows from Rosecrans to Figueroa from Sunset to Whittier Blvd.

That the Lakers didn’t keep Caruso because of money. That was a Jeanie move. That was all Jeanie Buss pennie pinching.

it happened under Rob’s watch ima give you that. So that’s on Rob. Nobody is disputing Rob being a glorified Yes man.

Lebron wanted THT retained. The Klutch factor. Jeanie didn’t want to pay the luxury tax. What was it a million???

But Rob had a Kuzma Buddy Hield trade in play. In place.

Damn Lebron and Anthony Davis had a meeting with Westbrook at Lebrons house. Westbrook will tell you that. And they went to Rob last hour and said they want to trade for Westbrook.

Deal scrapped and Westbrook was in tinsletown.
