Many of us here have talked about his defense- you just won’t hear it from the blowhards in TV or on Podcasts who pretend that Steph is in any GOAT conversations.

Like it except for CP3. I get it, I just can’t stand him. I like him less than PatBev.

I hear you, but let's face it. It's going to happen. I feel like he is going to mentor Bronny as a favor to LeBron.

This leaves our bench scoring a bit weak, so maybe Lebron could take a pay cut and we could sign some better bench scorers. Or, maybe Lebron is already taking a paycut for Capela, in which this case, we utilize Rui/Gabe to try and and get an upgrade at bench scorer and point-of-attack defender.

or reverse causation: warriors built a team to cover for their star's defensive deficiencies (which are VERY REAL).

That was a hilariously terrible few minutes from Russ there to end the half. Almost single-handedly cut their 10 point lead down to 3.

OKC is going to win it all, nobody in the East is as good as they are. I don’t even really see the WCF being super competitive with as bad a shooting team as Minny is, I think they’d be facing GS if Curry had been healthy. I don’t like OKC, I don’t think they’ve earned it yet, but I guess it is a success story for building through the draft, and I’ll be happy for Caruso.

Well, if they win it all, they've earned it. Good team, deep, very productive superstar, nice bigs, great defense, Bald Eagle plays for them... can't find much wrong with that squad.

I guess Denver found their unsung hero in Julian Strawther to win that game. Him and Watson at least gave them some defense and they glued MPJ to the bench. Jalen Williams sure built a mansion in denver today with his bricks.

I feel if OKC fumbles game 7, they need to trade some players to get a star or something.

They should have used a couple of their 84 draft picks to get Cam Johnson at the deadline. Glad they didn't but felt like an obvious no brainer.

Lakers match up so well against them sigh

I'm hoping Minny wins OKC just seems so meh to me. Kind of bland

Oh I can find stuff wrong. They’re super cocky for having not won anything yet, SGA is a free throw merchant, Dort is a dirty player, Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren are doofy looking, having a second Jaylin Williams is super confusing, Isaiah Joe has 2 first names, I don’t like their Tik-Tok dancing, and lastly they need to get off my lawn.

eh, we've been talking about it a lot--they're built for the regular season right now. they remind me a bit of the 67-win mavs team that lost to gs in the first round that year. really good #1 guy who's still figuring out how to win in the playoffs + a very deep team that plays hard every night. when the lights get turned up, these guys #2-12 on the roster just all shrink back.

honestly, similar to that dallas team, they're struggling with the physicality that the refs are allowing. jokic is just plowing into people on both ends, even jamal murray is out there throwing forearm shivers with no call (they did call jaylin williams on a retaliation late in the third as okc was just completely melting down, though).

if mpj isn't hitting ridiculous shots (which is about 1 in every 4 games), i find him to be totally useless. honestly, i hadn't thought of it until now, but he's a reasonable comp for knecht. just not a high iq player. great but streaky shooter. can score from all over. very sketchy on defense.

i mentioned him as a harden comparison, and i meant in many ways, lol--from "this guy could really break out as a #1 somewhere else" to "this guy can't handle the pressure of playoff basketball".

i think this makes him a great centerpiece in a trade for giannis (or zion). problem for okc is matching salaries in a star trade requires a bunch of salary, which will mean more than one useful role player will have to go unless the team trading with you has room to absorb a 5 for 1. interestingly, milwaukee is such a team.

anyway, okc could still win at home. i'll repeat that if they simply make open threes, they will run away from denver in the first quarter, and everyone not named aaron gordon will quit. but okc's butts are just so tight with the exception of game 2. but imo, even if they pull out game 7 they still need to finish the job this season to convince me they don't need a major shakeup. anything short of a title means anyone but SGA just became available in a consolidation trade. the fun team selfies may have to end if they want rings.
