No..they gave Rob 3 options...HE chose poorly! Demar Derozan to this day, still claims that he went to bed, thinking that he was getting traded to the Lakers, but woke up and we traded for Westbrook.

I suspect that some pretty decent players, might be up for grabs this summer. Brooklyn will probably be a hot spot for a salary dump for picks, since their payroll is projected to be around 63M

 

Still, owed 104m over the next 3 seasons. Entering his 17th season... Could be a tough sell IMO without either sweetening the pot or taking back a similar meh contract. They'll have to trim the fat somewhere and he makes the most sense to me.

 

Exactly. So many people in media have come out saying they were in the room and it's IMPOSSIBLE to rig it with all of the teams in there.

Say the Mavs missed the play-in and we're just in the lottery from the jump. They essentially would have needed Kyrie to tear his ACL on purpose for that to happen. With him they're just in the playoffs, most likely.

 

just here to correct the record as always: rob had already agreed to a different trade before lebron and AD forced the westbrook issue. we can argue about whether the other trade was a good one (meh, imo), but we can't argue that it wouldn't have been much better had rob just been allowed do his job without co-gms in this instance.

 

Holiday is a tough contract to trade because of those 3 seasons, he'll be 37 by the end of it. Maybe the Clippers go for him?

Boston don't want to trade White or Tatum.

So that leaves Brown as the most likely to be traded to get under the tax right away and bring something valuable back plus picks.
