KJ is the wing version. Houston giving bums like Corey Brewer & Josh Smith all of the minutes at SF while McDaniels rots away on the bench. It looks like NO might make him an offer too big for Houston to match, they're going to get a steal if they do. I expect them to poison pill him.

Emplay says Lakers should get a back up PG.

    Nate Robinson
    Andre Miller
    Jordan Farmar
    Norris Cole (R)
    Jordan Crawford
    Will Bynum
    Gilbert Arenas
    Baron Davis
    Daniel Gibson
    Eric Maynor
    Sebastian Telfair
    Peyton Siva
    Aaron Craft
    Marquis Teague
    Jorge Gutierrez
    Deonte Burton
    Jahii Carson
    Gal Mekel
    Yuki Togashi
    Will Cherry

Who do you want? I say Lakers should go after Andre Miller, Aaron Craft, Peyton Siva or Yuki Togashi.

We're currently at 14 players on the roster. If we get a backup PG, we can't sign Upshaw. Somebody either has to get waived (Jabari Brown?) or traded (Kelly?) to make it happen.

I think we already officially signed Upshaw to his 2 year deal so we're maxed out. If we're adding anybody we're definitely cutting someone else off the roster. My guess is Kelly. Jabari is the key to our guard depth, especially if Kobe is playing SF. We've already got Randle, Bass, and Nance at PF and they'll need all the minutes they can get.

Swap Kelly for Andre Miller and I'll be thrilled. Then at the deadline we can move Young and Sacre if need be. That'd mean Upshaw has progressed enough to where he's ready for the role of 3rd string C. We could use those two spots to pick up a wing on the block (if Scott doesn't murder Swaggy by Feb) and a guy that gets waived during that time of the year.

According to Eric Pincus, we haven't signed Upshaw yet. We've promised him we will, but apparently the FO is trying to figure out how to fit him on the roster.

I do agree that somebody has to go. Kelly is definitely a possibility.

With the additions of Bass and Nance, I really don't see where Kelly fits.

Is Nance really a PF in this league? If one of Randle or Bass get hurt is Nance going to be able to step in against NBA PF's? Kelly isn't the answer either. Maybe we need a big who can play both center and PF. While it looks deep we don't know a lot about 3 of the 4.

PG and PF/C would be nice additions. Swaggy is the one that seems the most duplicative with the versatility of our wings.

Dude nance is 6'9 and has a huge ridiculous wingspan. Yes he can play pf and even center of you want to go small ball

Kelly is not able to play SF. At PF he sucks on defense and his have offense isn't good enough to neutralize his awful defense. Him and Sacre are both awful on defense and at rebounding. I would trade them for a bag of chips...just to reduce the danger of seeing them on the court (and shed the salary).

I think Nance has to be a PF at this point. He has no SF skills. He has no outside jumper, no ball handling.
