When did he get injured? Was it before the regular season or was it Game 1 or 2?

So his excuse for game 1 and 2 wasn’t his toe.

Did they say it happened in the series? I got the (wrong?) (I guess) impression it was a longer period he was trying to just stay off of it between games. And what’s with the the “excuse” blast at AR? He never brought it up and took the blame for not performing good enough. Edit … oops just read above your post Game 3.

I never said Reaves used it as an excuse. I’m saying I keep reading that’s now the reason he had a bad series. If it didn’t happen till game 3, I’m questioning why he was bad in the first 2 games if it wasn’t because of injuries.

He wasn’t bad because of the toe, he was bad because he was bad. As stated he didn’t hurt it until game 3, and he was awful in games 1 and 2. I’m sure it didn’t help, but a lot of players are dealing with injuries, or just plain sore and hurting somewhere by the playoffs unless they missed a lot of regular season time. We aren’t going to trade him, but he’s probably the player we could use to get a good enough center, and I’d probably do that if it were the right players after this playoff performance. I like Reaves a lot, but I liked Eddie Jones a lot too, and I was fine with him being gone to get to a title.

@Cookie Well it’s also been covered and acknowledged MN is a real b**** of a matchup for him with their length, athleticism and physicality plus trying to contain Ant and Randle frequently assigned or switched on to him. Plus others like myself I admit may have also wrongly thought it happened prior to the series.
