I'm scared this Princeton offense will stifle the kids' growth. I don't get why we're going through it again when it failed miserably with 4 all-stars on the floor just a couple of years ago.

Just let the kids loose to give them experience at the pro level with a little P&R.

Well, it's not clear that "just letting them loose" is going to give them the appropriate sorts of experience.

has the Princeton ever really worked in the nba outside of those good sac teams? it's too hard to find five guys who can compete with nba athleticism AND who are all triple threats (or at the very least, able to pass and shoot from all over).

well, sure, but just simply running the high pick and roll 80% of the time to start action is passable, imo, especially in summer league.

I'm totally on board with more free form ball in Summer League. Maybe I misunderstood the earlier post on the topic. BTW, I'm not convinced that Princeton is the answer either.

that wasn't too bad last night...pretty much what i expected; Russell will flash the potential..JC shows that his game is expanding, Julius sloppily getting his game legs back..i liked the energy from Nance..

hope to see a better defensive outing today

Just remember.. These kids will be playing with Kobe, Lou, Bass, Hibbert & Young..

D'Russ, JC, Randle & Black are the only 4 I expect to get big minutes... Nance, Upshaw & Brown will have to earn minutes IMO.

There will be no Buycks & Mitchell on the floor..

When Scott went to the pick and roll during the last quarter or third of the season, it helped Lin's game [and free agency worth] along with accelerating Clarkson's development. Now you have two guards that can create off the dribble and for others...why not incorporate some of it as opposed to the Princeton a majority of the time?

I know Russell had good moments, but I would bring him off the bench at first. Start clarkson.
Unless he improves leaps and bounds from now till the opener.

I'm actually a bit concerned about this Princeton crap stunting the growth of Clarkson and Russell. I was adamantly against Scott as coach before he was hired. And the hire is now looking worse because while he was a Woolly Mammoth before in terms of the current game, with the acceleration of the league towards small ball, 3 pointers and analytics, now he's a dinosaur.

Start both. I think Kobe is our sf. If that wasn't the plan the whole time, why did we sign Bass, Lou and trade for Hibbert when we had a gaping hole at sf all last season? I think the Kobe to sf move is all but set in stone. And Kobe likes playing the 3. I think Russell/Clarkson/Kobe/Hibbert are all starting. The one question mark is Randle. I could see Bass starting for a while as Randle shakes off all the rust and gets into a rhythm.

I def think thats the best way moving forward, part of me just doesn't wanna rush Russell.

Well, Bass is better than Randle at this point. But maybe we'll start Randle anyway, in order to keep the young guns together on the floor. That includes Kid Kobe, of course. :D

This is my guess. Randle will be brought along slowly.

I actually like making young guys earn their way on the court. Gives them more motivation.

With no Randle this game, I wonder if we'll see black at PF. Might be nice to go bigger with Upshaw/Black.

Probably go Nance and give Mitchell some extra run.

Agree with Rosales but Byron won't get it through his thick skull. Mediocre coach at best.

I actually thought of when I watched the game this morning. Why are we doubling Towns? Play him straight-up...
