I'm just saying.... folks talking about Hayes, is deserving of full MLE range numbers this summer. https://stathead.com/basketball/ver...7&utm_campaign=2023_01_wdgt_player_comparison https://nbaanalysis.net/nba-expert-...in-hornets-win-if-the-lakers-could-get-a-guy/
I hope we can find minutes for him somehow...but I really don't know who we take from at this point when everyone is healthy?
Don't see a problem him spelling Bron, Rui, Luka for 3 - 4 minutes a stint. AR + Bron + DK + Rui AR + Luka + DK + DFS etc.
JJ is just getting it dwindled it down to the playoff rotation. His 9 man rotation is pretty clear and even that 9th spot (Goodwin) will be limited minutes.
make him earn it keep him hungry keep him improving dole out playing time the old fashion way, make them earn it. ---Smith Barney (Probably)
Lakers ha e a lot of offensives challenged players getting minutes right now. Knecht should get minutes when the offense is horrid like the Warriors first half
Yeah JJ you need to be better and try other players when every single one of your bench guys are afraid
Dalton has earned the role over Vanderbilt. I don't care about Vanderbilt's defense anymore. If Luka is passing you the ball and you're wide open but clank it, you need to get out of the game. At least he can work with Knecht and get some offense rolling. Vanderbilt is just standing there doing nothing on offense but running for offensive rebounds.
I’m all for DK getting 20+ mins per game moving fwd to provide that constant shooting threat. He rebounds decently, and knows how to freaking dunk the ball, and gets up. I would highly prefer if Coach Redick took mins from DFS/gabe to DK. To a lesser extent, maybe Vando (but he already hardly plays).
Gabe's getting those minutes because they need him in the playoffs. It'd mess him up if he's getting irregular minutes in the regular season then getting to the playoffs, he's out-of-touch. Vanderbilt's value plummets and multiplies when Luka is there because he doesn't spread the floor for Luka at all. Teams just sag off him and collapse on Reaves, LeBron, or Luka. You can't leave Knecht open. That presence alone will elevate Luka's game who is working too hard to get easy shots.
D F-S, Gabe and Vando are on another planet defensively compared to DK, but I hear you about DK as a threat. I just think JJ has emphasized defense, which turned the team around. DK's D isn't great, but he can definitely prove a threat if Lebron's sitting and teams double Luka.
