road games especially. you think okc wants to drop two home games in a row to us, regardless of circumstances? hell no.

the fans come out for our games, and the players, coaches, managers, stadium workers, etc. know it.

    OKC is scary good.
They play the best D in the League and are winning games by an ever age of 12 points. If this holds, it will become a new NBA record.
SGA is very hard to contain and has two very good bigs to lob to.
Their only weakness this playoffs is that they haven’t made it all the way through the West yet.

They are completely owning the Bucks rn.

i think the issue is that they're a rare nba team that plays very hard every night. they have a lot of talent, but their youth and energy and focus being relentless is the difference maker. plus, their young guys have now all played a) together and b) a lot, so there's not a lot of young guy mistakes.

all that said, in the playoffs, EVERYONE plays hard and with focus. and i think that's why okc has looked worse there. it's not really that they're playing worse; it's that other teams are playing better. boston's been coasting all year, for example (except for a game here and there when they want to make a point, like our last one). when the playoffs start, boston will kick it up a notch each round, whereas okc will just be who they are every trip out, same team they were yesterday.

anyway, it will be interesting to see how it goes. i think their window is this year and next because after that, the bill will come due.

looking down the standings, and minny and gs are on fire and have easy schedules to finish the season. if we don't get everyone back and get back to winning, we could actually find ourselves in the play-in...

need to string some together here.

Yeah. Relates to JJ "secret find" which is playing hard. That gives you a ton of wins in the regular season. And we can see it in our team too.
In playoffs is about execution and adjustments. OKC gets more exposed because they don't have a true point guard (SGA is more the scoring type) nor shooting. But they made the perfect moves this offseason in Caruso and Hartenstein and will be very tough to beat.
Agree they are pressured to win in this short window before the maxes start to kick in.
Yeah, saw it yesterday too that Minny and GSW are close and on a roll. Still have confidence on this team to not be the team left out of that 6 team group between the 2nd and 7th slot.
I'm also quite comfortable in the play-in if it happens, although it would be nice to avoid the extra game.
Just shows how tough the West is, there should be a below 5 win margin between the play-in and the #2 seed, crazy

Head coach Michael Malone doesn't think Jokic (elbow) will play in Monday's game against the Warriors, Danny Emerman of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
But he would be perfectly injury free on Wednesday added some guy on Twitter

    Thanks Indy

Philly almost helped by beating Houston but choked it away and lost in OT

Back in 4th. One game back from DEN and HOU.

    Kings beat a shorthanded Grizz.

Gordon beat the Warriors, so that gives a little more breathing room under us with both GS and Minny dropping.

    Minnesota, Memphis and GSW lost
So Lakers have 4 .5 games on GSW and tie breaker, basically 6

It's 3 and a half. So it's 4 with the tie breaker. If we lose 4 and they win 4, they're ahead.

Great night yesterday, really gave us some cushion

saw kerr said he might rest curry against milwaukee, so maybe we can get another L for them. REALLY want to avoid the play-in. first, anything can happen in these single elimination situations. second, pretty sure you're getting denver or okc if you're 7th or 8th, and i'd prefer to let them get beat up for a round or two before playing either. and third and more importantly--the rest. lebron is old and banged up. luka is still not 100%.

Btw it's absolutely ridiculous that in the span of 8 days we play twice with Milwaukee and Denver in two sets of back to backs, one away another at home, while both teams don't have any b2b in those games, except Denver in the first game, playing at home and getting Washington the day after at home again.

    GSW has 4 more loses
They need to get 5 more wins than Lakers
And they are terrible vs Pacific division like 3-10 ,so GSW doesn't have tiebreaker with any team
