Probably would have two rings instead of 1 if Kawhi was here, and more injuries

I don’t think I could take dealing with the real “street clothes” for so many years. If it were any other fan base than the Flippers,’ I would almost feel sorry for them.

Gotta LOL at Magic after all these years watching how un-effing-available and what a wasted huge cap hit Snake would have been .... now again beating his chest for attention ..... how HE would have had him here. As if all the results for the Clippers haven't indicated in hindsight it was a bullet fortunately dodged.

BTW .... love how that "disgruntled insider" story about the alleged dirty dealings under the table with West, Ballz and Snake's uncle ..... to sign him in the first place ..... the NBA supposedly was going to investigate, we are in all likelihood NEVER going to here a peep about what they found. It'll all be swept under the proverbial whatever.

LeBron/Kawhi/AD probably would have been too much talent to fail in the short term, especially since we still would have had a decent supporting cast. It wasn't really until Kawhi's ACL tear in the 2021 playoffs that his health became completely unreliable. In 2020 and 2021 he took games off, but could still ramp up to a full playoff workload. I also can't imagine LeBron being cool with Kawhi's complete lack of transparency around injuries and playing status. Wade being in and out of the lineup that last year on Miami allegedly frustrated him, imagine it being 10x worse with a guy that not only isn't your best friend but doesn't talk to anybody.

Magic saying he would have landed Kawhi doesn’t make it true. Also, he did this, so he can shut up

kawhi was never going to take a back seat to lebron. if the clips hadn't landed PG, he would've just stayed in toronto (which he would've been smart to do in the first place) or signed with another team that could have traded for a star. magic is just talking out of his a** as usual

kawhi and his camp used the lakers for leverage

The Hyena himself said, that it was either the Lakers or Clippers, and that he had no intention, on returning to Toronto period.

    1. no he wouldn't have.
    2. if he would have, we could be ringless. at best, we're in the same position (1 ring, a bunch of disappointment).

as weezy mentioned, magic did so much wrong that i need him very far away from the decision making, whether he still believes in himself or not. hell, i invite another team, perhaps a rival, perhaps the clippers, to elevate him to that level in their organization. please do it.

He should have his statue removed just for Muscala alone.

    Piss off, Earvin.

I will never forget what Magic brought to the court

    Excitement and winning ways

Least some of you never got to watch him, here are the type of plays he made

This was before anyone saw a 6' 9" do things like this, let alone anyone else

At the time it was so exciting for Lakers fans and the entire NBA

His rivalry with Bird had Magic elevating his game every year

Yeah the Zubac trade was dumb, but has Zubac even made an All Star team? I feel like he gets overrated by some he’s a good player, but we’re not talking about trading away prime Shaq and it’s not like the Clippers have won a bunch of championships.

Magic was a bad executive, but it doesn’t take away everything else he did for the franchise he’s still undeniably the best PG of all time and arguably the greatest Laker ever.

Of course. But because Rob probably complained to someone it was hard to get stuff done often while waiting on Magic who also had his attention and physical presence split amongst multiple other businesses and such, and it got back to Magic …. he was labeled and pilloried as a backstabber and the Lakers as a dysfunctional organization in multiple national media interviews …. starting with his dramatic quitting in the tunnel in front of the cameras and during that entire summer which was incredibly important to the TEAM as it still had to complete the “failed” trade for AD that he as top executive tried to force from NO mid season. And continued his dumping on Rob and the team his “dearest friend” Jeanie was trying run all through that free agency and the pursuit of Kawhi Leonard. Even including doing another negative national interview the morning of Vogel’s press conference. That was sabotage pure and simple because he was pissed and ALSO “not forgotten”.

"Has Zubac ever made an All Star" is a weird bar to judge by.

Magic the non-player is one of the worst things to happen to the Lakers, on par with Pimple and Westbrick.

    Piss off, Earvin.

Yeah, two things can be true at the same time.

Magic the player = awesome sauce
Magic the team president = not nearly so much

Magic also got us LeBron as well as winning 5 rings and being the greatest Laker ever. I don't understand the hate honestly. One bad trade doesn't erase the mountain of good he did for the Lakers and the league as a hole.

Magic and Bird literally saved the league.
