This is hilarious, celebrating like they won the finals. And fans of other teams think we are silly for saying we get most teams’ best shot, as if we’re the defending champs or something

man, if i were the hornets, i'd make sure that video never saw the light of day.

of course, if i were the hornets, i'd have jumped off a bridge by now, so...

anyway, let's see if coach is ready to hug williams during upcoming contract negotiations in light of a trade rescinded due to a medical evaluation.

iow, have fun while it lasts, boys.

Was it really just the anticipation and circus of this game? Luka versus Mavs?

Outside of that, this team last night was NOTHING like the team in Denver last Sat. Nothing.

The 48 min focus, relentless, defense, attention to detail wasn’t there at all.

I was hoping they’d be guns blazing simply due to losing in horrific fashion against the Charlotte in our last home game.

Outside of LeBron taking over in the final moments of the 4th, this team very much looked disinterested, didn’t care about winning, and just went through the motions. Incredibly frustrating to watch when you showed us 2 days prior what amazing things you’re capable of.

    Said after EVERY loss.

:Jeanie Srsly:… by way too many people.

How bout we didn’t come close to shooting well? If we’d made decent % of the open looks we win by 20. Are we then still psycho analyzed to having “just went through the motions”? You did notice in contrast that Kyrie and Klay DID shoot well and when those guys are hot it’s not from the other team not being in the mood to try and stop them.

Emotions can impact any game. The key thing here IMO is that we still are able to make plays down the stretch and win.

last I checked, this is a WMC thread. You can think whatever you want. Just an observation that sat and tues was night and day. Most people will agree that it was. I want the Lakers to curb stomp everyone like they did the Nuggets, and when that JUST happened, AND ON THE ROAD, while Denver is LIGHT YEARS better than Dallas? Yeah, it’s kind of expected.

It is …. and my WMC is comments like

…. after every single loss regardless of the reason (mainly shot for s*** and Kyrie and Klay were hot) are stoopid. We still held them to 99. We make our open shots decent % and you have your 20-25 point blow out and leading the whole game.

My WMC is the conversations in LB. It really is hard to see real break down of players, play, style etc in these threads. Just a bunch of random hate on this player, coach, management person or even fan or another. I only come in after a good win to celebrate a good game by the boys (even a tough loss where we played well) but all the threads boil down to the same low level nonsense.

We got fricken Luka and every other post is about "fat luka" or some nonsense like that. We have a headcoach who has these guys going to war every game yet we still are like "they didn't play like they did 17 days ago when they cared more."

I created the WMC thread for us to be over the top cause it is how we, yes all of we, fans are when it comes to supporting our teams. But man it is exhausting trying to sift through all the nonsense to see some good takes of our team and players here.

Anyway, I missed most of the game as my whole city was out of power for 24 hours and wanted to come in and see some celebration for us continuing to gel after Luka's first game against the Mavs. Just got a lot of, well, meh.

… and maybe a suggestion to stay a little more even keeled? After the Charlotte loss by 3 points following the break you jumped off the deep end with Luka was never going to sign long term with this s*** team, when HIM missing “most” of his shots was a huge reason.

I’ve been a die-hard Laker fan my whole life. I want them to win only. Win championships. Do well, always.

I can also suggest you take things more seriously when these guys make millions of dollars to play a game most of us love. I know some of you are wayyy too overly optimistic, some are realistic, some are pessimistic. I understand we have a spectrum of fans on all ends of it.

Not everyone in this sub can be even keeled like some of you posters, and that’s okay.

Not everyone in this sub is going to take losses/s***ty play as hard as I or others would take it, and that’s also okay.

At the end of the day, we’re on the same team, probably have different feelings about a lot of things, but that’s just how life goes sometimes. I think the only thing we probably have in common is being Lakers fans, that’s it though. Nothing wrong with that.

That’s all great and I’m sure I’ve been a Lakers fan as long or longer than you. But WMC about the more accurate reasons they lose their games … not stupid mind reading stuff IMO like they didn’t care about winning and were just going through the motions. You think that entire squad didn’t want to kick Dallas’s a** for Luka?

I thought they wanted to, but watching the whole game yesterday, their actions seemed otherwise.

So if Kyrie and Klay got hot… and Denver seemingly couldn’t, does that mean we simply didn’t play defense last night then?

Denver is like 2 tiers above Dallas, with the missing AD, Gafford, Lively, maybe 3 tiers?

Clearly the Lakers were motivated in Denver, and all I’m WMCing about mostly about yesterday is we saw nothing of that team last night.

If the Lakers show up tomorrow and Friday against Minny and Clips the same way they approached this Dallas game, it may not turn out to be wins at all.

The team maybe perfect if Luka lost 20 lbs - that's my WMC.
Keep imagining this team with an inshape Luka who actually takes care of his body and really nothing to complain about then

After they played their version of 7 game of NBA finals and upset Lakers this f***ing team made NBA history.Hornets lost the last three games with a total difference of 131 points.
Over the past four days Charlotte Hornets showed the worst result in league history. From Saturday, February 22, the team played three games, losing 53 points to Portland, 42 points to Sacramento and 36 points to Golden State Warriors

No it means that Denver’s outside shooters “didn’t” get inordinately hot and our swarming plan on Jokic “that” game worked really well. Next game who knows … and Kyrie and Klay WERE hot. When players go off from deep that’s pretty hard to defend. Happens all the time. And like I said their whole team still only scored 99 points, which in the NBA I don’t care what team it is your D has done a pretty darn good job.
