Im not gonna harp on his lack of shape. I played ball on weekend and yesterday (after a few years of chillin). It was f***ing brutal. If someone watched me from the sidelines, i bet he thought im a "special needs" person. I don't know how to run, gotta keep telling myself, "left, right, left", don't know how to dribble (even with my better hand), my lift is non existant, and one full court fastbreak and im cooked. If he takes next few months seriously, joins Bron in his summer training, we'll be golden next season.
His talent is insane and his worst games are career nights for 90% of the NBA players, ridiculous.

 

Getting older sucks, but especially if you don't stay in shape. My daughter's school had a 5k "fun run" a couple of weeks ago. I decided to do it with no training.

Reports are the Mavs didn't think Luka's health would hold up years down the line because he has a bad habit of smoking hookah and drinking beer whilst not having the best conditioning.

I guess this moment finally makes sense now.

Even if what they are saying is true, which it probably is, you can't trade a player like that.

I just hope Luka gets his conditioning correct. Beer and hookah ain't bad when you're 25 but at age 30, it's a problem for a professional athlete who isn't conditioning himself correctly to begin with. He's with LeBron now. Just do a quarter of what LeBron does to maintain his health and he'll be fine.

 

I watched a lot of the postgame stuff/interviews.

When Luka was talking to reporters postgame with the backdrop, it was clear he was still feeling a certain way from this trade, and admitted it would take him a long time to get over this.

I hope LeBron, JJ, Jeanie, and Rob really continue to embrace him, and make him feel as comfortable as possible for his transition.

I didn’t think Luka was the type to do those typical special teammate handshakes. When I saw he did it with Kyrie, I am just waiting for the moment Luka is comfortable enough to have one with LeBron.

Luka seems like a quiet guy personally, but I hope he and LeBron can have some personal connection eventually.
