Like others have said....when Luka hit a few of those step back 3's in the 1st half, and I think he had another one in the 2nd half...that's when it hit me that we have HIM.

I know we've had LeBron for a while now...but seeing Luka hit a few of those shots...I don't think we've had someone like that since...Kobe? Just someone that can hit absolutely BACK BREAKING 3's on your head and there's NOTHING you can do to stop it?

I think seeing the Nuggets body language...they actually looked...defeated? They were almost shocked I think that this is our team now.

As much as I love AD...having Luka against the Nuggets was an unknown variable and our floor is raised and now it's no longer a foregone conclusion that we lose a playoff series against the Nuggets should we get matched up.

He got a nice warm up game before he goes scorched earth Tuesday.

If Nico is so out of touch that he shows his face Tuesday, Wilt's record will be in jeopardy. Luka will destroy them.

the moseley bit makes sense to me.

same thing i always thought about harden--people said he was lazy, but i (despite intensely disliking harden) never thought that. harden loved playing. you can't be that skilled without loving it. it's impossible. same with jokic. yeah, yeah, horses or whatever, but that guy loves playing. luka does, too.

he probably doesn't love treadmills or dieting.

that said, one of the keys may be to find guys who will play with him to keep him in shape. my suspects would be bronny, dalton, DFS (of course), and vando.

imagine the one on ones that group could convene in the offseason. and if you've played one on one with players similar to your skill level, it can be quite taxing. can't mimic game shape but can keep the fat off.

    Spot on!

Lots of those guys play themselves into game shape. Shaq was similar too. Lots of people attack Luka for his weight, but in many ways, it’s useful, he jsut bumps people off him and moves at his deliberate pace on offence and he even uses it defensively to slow people down.

Haha OKC blew a huge lead to Minnesota tonight is anyone actually scared of these guys? I’m not especially with Luka on our side. Everyone hypes them up as the next great team, but they have one playoff series win with their core and that was against an awful Pelicans squad without Zion. Bring it on. There’s been plenty of teams like OKC that are great in the regular season and get exposed come playoff time.

Honestly? I’m a little worried about them. If you watch back the series last year of Dallas vs OKC - the difference maker was Dallas size in the paint. Gafford, Lively and PJ wore down Chet over the series. It’s arguable that SGA (32/8/7 on 50/55/84) had a better series than Luka (25/10/9 on 44/39/74) and lots of that has to do with Lu Dort just being strong enough to defend Luka about as well as anyone can.

Last year OKC had Giddey as their 5th starter and and an anaemic bench. This year they’ve added Hartenstein and Caruso to their bench and as a result they’ve got a wild net point differential (the best in history) with one of the best defences in NBA history. They’re going to be a tough out for anyone and should rightfully be the favourites this year alongside the Cavs.

With that in mind, we’re the no 1 defence and the no 1 offence in the NBA over the last 20 games… so… we’re a tough out for anyone as well. We also may have the two best players on the court over a series.

    Luka
    LeBron
    SGA
    Chet
    Reaves / Williams

    They’ve then got Dort/iHart/Caruso and we’ve got DFS/Rui/Gabe. It’ll be a good series
