after the loss, we should have pivoted and played everyone again (but you know, try this time) and then sat everyone against denver because f*** mike malone right in the ear.
Ehh at this point Luka needs to worry about getting himself in shape then about getting a big contract extension or not. He has looked awful so far.
I’d love to eat crow. I’ll personally venmo or Zelle you both money if Luka Doncic signs an extension with us. Besides a championship? It’s the only thing remotely close to anything we should all be wanting for this franchise. Every other stud is and top 5 player is well under contract, including “stars” who are 30 or under.
i'm not, either. but to be fair, two NOs, two CHAs and two PORs on that list. orlando the only team with a winning record, and barely so. one of the easier stretches that a team can have. credit to them, though, as we just lost to utah and charlotte back to back!
Thrilled to be wrong. Not only did we do the unthinkable, Rockets dropped to the Jazz. Moves us up the 4th. 2 back from Denver.
I don’t think the standings matter too much honestly. We have to most likely beat OKC and Den to get out of the west back to back. You aren’t getting home court against OKC and I believe we beat Den in 5 or 6 with this team whether we have home court or not. Denver don’t have the defensive players to stop Luka, Lebron and AR.
Exactly , health is the number 1 priority .. This March 14 to March 21st strech is dumb and dangerous as f*** health wise . Should tank the Bucks game
Just checked out the March 14 to March 21 stretch. It's stupid-rough and if one of our key guys goes down with a significant injury, we all should make a stink. March 13th-22nd: @MIL @DEN (on a BTB on the road after flying in from MIL) 2 days later: at home against PHO. Next day: Spurs in Crypto. 2 days later: Nuggets at the Crypt Another BTB: MIL comes in. 2 days later: CHI (on the 22nd) BRUTAL! With load mgmt: Lebron and Luka will miss a game or two in there, I'd think. Then we go on a 4-game trip. The only significant breather: Rockets in LA on 31st, then next game is GSW on the 3rd, at home. That's not enough down time in the overall schedule.
Yes. But a couple of those BtoBs or at least one of them were make ups from the 2 fires cancelled games.
Too stoned to fact-check myself, but IIRC we had two games postponed due to the fires and the CHA game we blew the other day at home? Wasn't that the 1st of 2? Then (I think) the Spurs game on a BTB after PHO during this brutal March stretch is the other one. So ONE of the BTBs are due to make-up games. Really rough.
It is very likely that Grizzlies will lose to Cavs and Wolves lose to Thunder. The rest could go either way. But the Jazz did us a big favor last night.
