again, i''ve been a critic of jeanie (mostly as a way of explaining why rob wouldn't be fired), but they both need their credit here. their philosophy worked. period.

She stuck with Rob, not many could have kept this quiet. If Jeanie is going to get hammered for things that go wrong, she deserves her flowers when they go right. She should be getting the entire flower shop for this league changing event. Always been my favorite owner though so I defend her no matter what...lol.

I agree. The uncertainty surrounding our core of Lebron/AD was growing fast these past 2-3 years. We didn't know when Father Time would catch up to Lebron. We didn't know how long it would take to find a running mate for AD when Lebron retires. We could have been stuck in mediocrity for 5-7 years if we paired AD with a tier 2 star player like Fox or the like.

Trading for Luka has cleared that dark cloud hovering over us. Our vision is clear and I finally feel like we could go all in --- trade all our assets to build around Luka.

As for assessing the Jeanie/Rob era, we traded Ingram, Ball, Hart, Max, and four 1st round picks for our 17th championship and Luka Doncic. Tell me which owner/GM has done better in that same timeframe... no one.

In Spite Of .... like 1/3 of Laker Nation calling him everything in the book (unqualified to be in that position) ever since Magic left and called him a backstabber .... and her being vilified for doing it by at least the same period of time, among all the other rants at her. She's a strong owner with a lot of class and in my opinion took Magic's advice to heart and considering where the franchise is today it has served her well .... that he gave her reportedly right after quitting. Certainly it was more of a real shot at Rob, but would you argue against it in your own lives? And that was to surround herself with people she was certain she could trust. (and of course good enough to do a great job hopefully)

I've always been proud of Jeannie and the way she righted the ship after her brother was just screwing up. She's the one most like her dad and she has shown it throughout her tenure (and before that). That's why he put her in ultimate charge of the franchise.

Good to see her get her due around here. I'm no fan of the Rambii and wish they weren't involved but Jeannie has done very well. Congrats to her, to Rob and to us for landing a new young superstar in his prime.

I've been the biggest supporter of Jeanie and I've always loved Linda and Kurt. (I'm lying).

Nice job giving the go ahead with Luka, Jeanie. :)

Yeah, not a great take considering we won three championships in the past 20 years. Only GS has done better with 4.

Vocal Jeanie critic here - the front office did great work here. They picked a direction and executed it.

Honestly, they did what most of us critics have been asking for. Everyone should be pleased right now. Even if it doesn't work, they made significant moves to put us in contention this season and for years to come. I don't know how anyone could be unhappy with that.

I'm confident she made her old man even more proud with this one.

I will say this - I have given Jeanie a lot of s*** over the years...but she gets an A+ for this one.

She may actually be like her father after all...

Clippers losing 114 million. I guess those 4 AM nightclub toilets don’t pay off.

I think your Math is off we’ve won three titles in the last 20 years. Also if the Lakers hadn’t been screwed by the CP3 debacle we would have 4 or 5. They screwed Kobe out of 2 rings.

Easy for Ballmer to FLUSH DOWN money since he has more coming out of his rear end.
