As if the Mavs haven't had enough heart break. Having Dirk cheer for the Lakers tonight isn't going to help dry those tears

hopefully just rust to blame for the inability to hit 3s

The open looks our role players are going to get, wow. And if it swings back to Lebron, he can drive and draw the same attention, try again. I think it will be an adjustment for both of them as they are both used to always being the man and having the ball, but it will also allow for them to each take it a little bit easier on offense than they probably ever have on some possessions, just stand at the 3 point line or the corner to catch their breath while the other operates.

lol I know we’d never do it since we like to pride ourselves as an elite ball club with standards and class above the rest.

but it’ll be damn funny if we sent Nico a ring each time we win with Luka

Luka is Luka, but damn the 3pt curse was on my mind. But usually that curse only effected role players never really the stars.

I was riffing on Jan 5th in Other NBA Teams about how guys like Wemby/Ant/Luka will show up as Lakers, 'cuz that's our history. I never in a trillion years would've thought we'd get Luka in a few weeks after I wrote that:

Mavs are so soft for this if you ask me. You can’t blame fans for being frustrated.

Tbh I kind of feel sorry/bad for them. Like I can fathom something like this happening to us. And they’re a small market team. Generational talent is rare, finding an all star let alone generational talent that can play anywhere come free agency that’s willing to stay.

It’s just so baffling. I really think there must’ve been some back handed deals due to 53% loss in viewership.

I definitely don’t watch basketball as much as I did when I was kid but demographics are changing.

I also stopped watching every game after Westbrook.

The league got soft, childhood talent and early adulthood talent is gone, but Westbrook sucked all the losses out of me. I don’t want o keep brining him up but he was really a prime reason I stopped watching every game. Something I’ve done for nearly 20 years. It also gave me no confidence in Rob and the FO and thought they were just going to cater to lebrons every request like every team even this late in his career.

This trade seriously relit my love for basketball.

Imagine trading Kobe in 2007, getting someone like Stoudemire or even Nash back. I would be furious... oh well, not our problem :D
