    one can hope

seems like a good guy, and we also did see him play some defense for stretches that was decent

We're much better at star collaboration, have been for 5 decades. Mavs have had?...Dirk. he's about as low maintenance as it gets. They're out of their depths

this is why i thought we had a shot at luka. i just thought he'd be the one asking out. turns out they tried to smoke him out, and when he didn't take the bait, they just shipped him.

anyway, once again, our absolutely incredible gain.

Crazy thing is, he wasn’t even asking for that much. They are making it seem like he was a fat, drunk, crazy diva but the stuff I’m hearing wouldn’t have moved the needle at all out here.

Luka did not want to leave. Thats not an act on his part. He loved the city. They loved him which is tough to do in a football town like that. It’s why I did not see us having a real shot at him. I didn’t see anyone having a real shot him.

    This trade was just insane.

Giving Luka to us was insane.

We’re about to win. A lot.

As I said in Gametime, this team might actually be IT. I feel, for the first time in years, that it could be a contender. Very well balanced, top to bottom, with three players that can not only carry the team in long stretches but all three can set up everyone else. And speaking of everyone else -- they simply need to bring energy and play hard. Which they do... Dorian, Rui, Vando, Gabe, Jax... they are all buying in.

Looking at it realistically, I say we win the championship, being optimistic, we win in a sweep.

We just may, long way to go, but we have a shot now. We keep rising, it’s crowded, but we keep on winning

I understand the concern that we don't have a true Center to count on in the playoffs. A friend was texting me this morning that he worries about a matchup against Jokic or AD and it's valid, but other teams have to worry about how they'll shut down Luka, Lebron, and Reaves.

While there's a void at the center position, our swarming defense has been causing teams fits even with Jaxson as our starting Center. Maybe it's not sustainable against certain teams in a 7 game series, but I guarantee that nobody is looking forward to facing us either. Let's just enjoy the ride this season and look forward to having a generational talent for the next decade.

What’s done is done. I was upset to lose not only AD but Max who was playing great as well. Both those guys were anchoring our D with the starters. To lose them both left some huge holes, that’s why I was bummed and felt like we were throwing this season away.

Now I’m not so sure. We NEED someone at the 5 though. I was excited to get Williams and thought he’d fit great. Now I’m hoping for a halfway decent buyout guy. I’d still give us a chance just because we are playing so well right now and haven’t even seen Luka in action.

Teams have to guard Lebron AND Reaves with their 2nd and 3rd best defenders . LMAO

They all can create for themselves and others at a high or elite level ..

I still believe we're going to the finals...and potentially winning it all

This team is catching fire at the right time.

I think we gotta keep rising in the standings and get to the 2nd/3rd seed AND improve our net rating by a lot to have a real chance at winning it all. I believe we can achieve this, and small ball is ognna be our thing but it's not truly small ball since all of our guys are gonna be over 6'5. I do think with our death ball lineup though we HAVE to have Vando in there for rebounding...if we don't...we get obliterated ilikley ...

    Vando
    LeBron
    DFS
    Reaves
    Luka

That's the death ball lineup I play in crunch time

I still think we need a second center to get us closer.

Sure as hell we do need one. Jax is as fragile as AD. He also runs like a headless chicken out there, accident waiting to happen.

This is the best team we’ve had since the championship season in 2020. Even though that 2023 season was fun a few years ago seeing them making the WCF unexpectedly realistically you knew the ceiling was limited with that core. That’s not the case here this team really could win a championship.

I don’t know that they will win it all because OKC is really good, but the Lakers definitely have a real shot this year. Biggest thing working on our favor is for the first time since the bubble year we won’t have to go through the play in and will most likely have some form of home court advantage in the playoffs.
