I don't know that guy, but apparently we do have room according to him. If true, apologize for the misinformation, I'm trying to keep up with this bomb and think about alternatives

Waive Wood (done) and Cam (doghouse + personal issues), go get one big and best available unless those two are the same player.

Pincus said we should have enough wiggle room to get two pro-rated minimum players if we cleared the roster spots.

Theis is my current pick depending on what else shakes loose.

This summer reload the same package + the additional draft assets we'll have for Duren.

damn I remember him being really bad on the C Bags, not looking forward to this

we really got screwed here. The NBA should open an exception for us to get another trade done, but they wont because people would scream about Lakers being favored.

We might decide that one of the two ways is a better option.

They really should, but when has the League ever been fair to the Lakers?
This is TWICE now that we were royally screwed by the Hornets/NBA.

I like Nance for the lobs.
    He can still bounce, right?
There’s no real option for a good defender, so just go all in on offense.

I like that idea but Simmons made too much money this season.

Nance Jr still have those springs? He'd be a good lob threat for Luka

Did combing through the list of bigs on an expiring deal who make less than the MLE. For potential buyout options, guys who could ask their agent to get them out of there based on the current opportunity facing us after the trade that wasn't.

Found a few other names that aren't being talked about.

    - Marvin Bagley: had a knee injury in December, don't know the status there but Grizz don't have minutes for him.

    - Paul Reed: 3rd string in Detroit or compete for real minutes here? Not a tough call if you're his agent.

    - Drummond: he has a PO next year for $5m. If he thinks he can get that regardless, why not leave that sinking boat in Philly. Maybe he thinks if he showcases here, that $5m can be $7m+ next year from a team?

a combination of Kessler + Drummond would be amazing for next season, but we need to look at what we can do to make a run this year.

I'm guessing JSM is talking about buyout candidates? Not a bad list actually...Bagley is still young..hurt all the time though. He was pretty decent in 20Min per last season.

Maybe that's why they tried to trade him to us specifically? I'm curious as to what those other health issues were myself. I mean we said...We good with the back, but that other stuff? Hell Nah!!

Yeah, i wasn't clear there. Went back and reworded it.

Definitely a few more names to throw in the hat.

I don't think we have any truly good options here. But there are some that can make the best of this s*** situation for us. There will be a HUGE gap between Williams and Theis, Bagley, or whoever it is. But I don't think we're in a position to do nothing. Also worth remembering, our two way guys are ineligible for post season play, so even if we deploy and rotate that merry band of misfit toys, we'll still be shorthanded in April.
