…. would make sense too with a new coaching staff and developmental guys for him they’ll probably work one on one awhile to shore up any weak spots in his game. New set of eyes thing.

This team is def giving me 2008 vibes to be honest. I can see us making a run to the NBA Finals...I'm nto sure what trade happens before tomorrow...but having 3 guys that are elite playmakers guarantees us having one or two of those guys on the court at all times. Even if Luka or LeBron sit...we still have 2 playmakers and we don't miss a beat.

Luka is going to get easy buckets for everyone and he might even get Hayes PAID if we don't make a move for a center...

The fact that we SMACKED two VERY good teams in the Knicks and Clippers and finish 5-1 on the grammy trip (can't remember the last time we've done that?)...all without AD/Max/Luka...I mean our ceiling is much higher now imo. We kinda knew what we would be especially if we drew the Nuggets AGAIN in the playoffs. But now? I don't think that it's a GUARANTEED series loss against them...Luka is someone that CAN beat Denver because he's probably as smart if not smarter than Jokic in terms of how to control the game.

Luka hired his own health/body people after Dallas fired the people they had working with him and not getting the results they wanted.

Doncic is stocky in a way... He needs to slim down a bit to avoid further wear and tear on himself.

That iconic series against the Clippers where he hit a game winner over reggie jackson...he looked pretty slim there

I think if he can get back to that...he's going to be a demon.

But then again..that extra weight helps him when he's driving to the hoop, and also when he's posting up smaller guys.

It all depends on what kind of weight he's carrying.

There's this weight and there's that weight.

Yeah. I felt like we could go just as far as we would've without the trade but if we keep this up then the sky is the limit for the team as long as Luka is ready to go.

Again, I would not want to go up against a motivated Luka and LeBron in the playoffs.

The old team was good enough to make the playoffs or at least get into the play in tournament. But definitely not a contender.

Right now we still are no contenders but at least we have moved some pieces to see what this new team can do. So in a way, I'm optimistic again that we might actually find a magic formula that works.

But sticking to something that doesn't work would seem complacent and dumb to me and I'm happy we didn't do that.

Not contenders now? With the upgrades we just made? With Luka Doncic and the new best Big 3 in the league? Hokay. I guess.

Teams that are shaken heavily at the trade deadline are not contenders immidiately. It takes time for a team to gel. If we get into the playoffs this year (without the play-in) that would be considered a successful season in my book.

We can talk again if we beat the Nuggets and give OKC a run for their money.

He looks bigger than 6’6” and I’ve seen both figures. Shooting next to Reaves in that clip above he looks an inch taller and AR is 6’5 3/4” I’ve seen.
