Luka is the ultimate competitor. He was owning games in one of the best leagues in the world at only 16. He's the player with the most "I own you" teams/players, like the Clippers or Booker.
I'm 1000% confident he will be absolutely fine

This surely upset him and will have an impact for sure. But I think it will be fuel to him, rather than bring him down. At the end of the day, he's in a better situation now, best franchise in the world, that wind rings and playing with Bron. As soon as this settles down in his mind, he'll be the happiest kid in the block

 

Through this trade Nico Harrison basically announced to the world that doesn't think Luka has what it takes to be an all-time great because he's a lazy fatso. I don't think Luka is going to like that very much.

rob said it in the press conference: the combination of joy/love for the game and killer instinct is just really rare.

if you want to know why the joy matters, look at guys like kawhi--he'd just...rather not. if you can drag him out there, he'll sort of methodically dominate, but i don't know that he really loves the game all that much.

i know that metta's "i love basketball" stuff was hilarious, but it came from a real place, i think.
