So, that's our SF rotation? Barring no trades or acquiring anybody on left on FA list...

That's what it's looking like so far. I think the bump in the cap kind of changed the game a little bit.

Is that supposed to be bad? Wes was our SF last year.

Not really a bad deal when you think about it. The Mavs won't be relevant or have enough draft picks over the next 4 years for that contract to matter much. :D

Well if he can come back and play respectably, then it's a great deal! I'm just kidding because media types of routinely crushed the Lakers for giving Kobe that big deal. I know the situations are totally different, but this is a huge payday for a guy coming off a serious injury and you're locked in for four years.

I wasn't insinuating that it was horrible, but it has question marks. I like Kobe at the 3, but he's probably sitting back-to-back and if he suffers a injury, that's more time missed; Young, well we know that story, and A. Brown is a rookie. J. Brown is also undersized for the position.

I'm not worried about the rotation @RandleROFY I think Nick is fine there.

    Probably not. :D

But I think we'll see a Nick more like the one we gave a big contract to if the team is more competitive. If the team stinks, I think his attention will waver and he'll fade off into Swaggy P's brain. If we're good and he's got a role and he's engaged, I think he'll help out.

I liked Jordan, but he fell in love with the mid-range game and completely tanked what I loved about him to begin with. I'm fine with him leaving. Good luck in Indy!

Having said that...I still want a true small forward. There's always February 2016...

I don't think we have a roster spot too especially if we're looking to keep Upshaw.

    Russell/Lou
    Clarkson/Jabari
    Kobe/Young/Brown
    Randle/Bass/Nance/Kelly
    Hibbert/Black/Sacre

    That's already 14.

I assume we're either cutting or dumping one or both of Kelly and Sacre at this point. Just no more room for them on the roster. It wouldn't save us any money to cut them, but it'd open up minutes and opportunity for other players.

Don't forget Nance, although he can play 4 too.

I don't feel great about SF spot only because Kobe and Young have experienced injuries and we can't rely on a rookie yet....I thought we should have made a run at Gerald Green or KJ McDaniels to shore up the wing spot...yeah I like Jabari Brown but I feel like he's more of a combo guard.

    Russell/Lou
    Clarkson/Jabari
    Kobe/Young/A Brown
    Randle/Bass/Kelly/Nance
    Hibbert/Black/Sacre/Upshaw

So I guess our roster is set....I like it but I don't love the 3 spot...I still think we should try to cast off Kelly and Sacre and sign KJ....

How can you be mad at that? he's 100% right. We've signed Shaq 2 decades ago and got a discounted Payton and Malone. Other than that what big names have we signed? Vlad Rad? Steve Blake? Only a few seasons with cap space, but even then there's really only one MAJOR free agent that's on the table next year and it's very unrealistic to think we're going to nab him.

Lakers will get a meeting with all the top free agents, but no free agent is choosing us simply because we're the Lakers.
