It’s crazy because I also feel like there has to be more here but if there is everyone is doing a great job keeping it under wraps.

I mean look...you KNOW something went down bad, behind the scenes. You don't just wake up one day, and decide to move a MVP caliber player at 25.

That being said, it is what it is, Luka gets a fresh start, in a huge TV market. He gets to play with his idol, and I'm sure the League is already salivating, over the amount of Nationaly televised Lakers games, they can put on next season.

AD gets an opportunity, to play for a team, that gambled big, on believing in him. He should be ultra motivated to go out and make it known, that's he's a 1st Ballot HOF too.

    The circus is here folks!!!

Opposed to them, destroying us anyhow? It’s not like we were doing well before.

Exactly. That's if we even play Denver.

I'd say, at best, we had a 10% shot at a title, and that's with things breaking our way. We could have drained assets, let AD age more, not have picks, and treadmilled. Now we have a decade to contend with someone who hasn't hit their prime.

Not playing defense for sure. Stat padding I don’t complain about unless you’re talking about chucking. I definitely hate that but it’s not about stats, it’s about s***ty shot possessions.

Exactly. This idea that this team was going to win a title without EXTREME "luck" with other teams getting all their stars injured at the same time... we were looking at a mid tier team that might make a run (with favorable match ups) to the WCF for the next 2 seasons. Then a complete rebuild with an old AD taking up a gigantic part of our cap. We now have our rebuild already started. Luka, Knecht, Reaves are all around the same age, and all make Sirron very happy.

The way I look at this is yea we're playing well right now, but pretty much everything has to fall our way in terms of the health of our team, the health of other teams and favorable matchups to even get to the NBA finals to compete for a ring. With Luka in the fold now, this sets us up for after Lebron and assuming he plays for another 2 years, i'd rather have a 27/28 year old Luka then a 33/34 year old AD.

    It's a privilege to be a Laker

Hopefully Luka embraces that and rises to the occasion

It’s not like Nico Harrison hasn’t screw up before like when he was at Nike.

Well as a Cowboys fan it looks like Jerry isn’t the most hated man in Dallas anymore at least temporarily.

New Super DUO era just started for the Lakers. LeBron still playing like a late prime player on offense with D as needed in clutch situations (reasonably at his age) now teams with a chip on his shoulder too like AD .... just in his early prime top 3 Luca Doncic. With all the new options where to play them on the floor where they can do the most damage the most efficiently, playing off one another and it all tied together with JJ's I'm convinced GREAT chops and scheming .... and Austin Reaves as the perfect guy to connect, facilitate and add additional winning mindset and performance to these new schemes. There's not going to be a conflict over who's handling the ball and it's going to be opportunistic. I can't wait.
