My gut is that Dallas will look better in the short term than LA.. Easier to fit AD with Kyrie than Luka with LeBron & Reaves, etc.

I am still in shock, if you asked all Lakers fans who would be their favorite player to lead the Lakers post-Lebron if they could get anyone, I'm sure most would have said Luka, but it felt like a pipe dream.

 

Yup. For me it was always Luka and recently Wemby. All the rest (Ant, SGA, Giannis) were backup plans...

This was $$$ decision, not about basketball. Jeanie found another money printer. That is what this trade is about, it's not about basketball, it's not about contending.

If you want to contend, you find a center, a point, not trade your best player, the best 2 way player in the league, the best player not named Nikola Jokic.

We were starting to jell. We just needed another center. Why couldn't we do that? Luka is great no doubt, a great offensive talent, LeBron v2. But Luka guards no one, and has conditioning problems. So we gamble on LeBron convincing Luka to take care of his body.

Regardless Ludabrow is a disrespected and underappreciated superstar, even by the Laker franchise it seems.

This season is done and I'm pissed off. Why couldn't we just get a center and contend this year?

Yes I'm selfish and want to see the Lakers get a center still. Does that make me a bad person?

And I'm ok flipping Bron for assets as well. I don't see the fit, but maybe they work it out and surprise us all. Defense has to be the biggest concern right after the fact that there is only one ball.

When one of those guys hit the market, you offer anything not bolted down. We got a bargain.

 

One thing I do like about Doncic is the guy has a killer instinct, and will cut your heart out in the biggest moments. We’ve lacked that.
