Crazy stuff, crazy. Most NBA teams could beat our offer, Luka in Denver or SA would piss me
off... just as much as it pisses all the basketball world, except us

 

Who’s really beating our offer? They give it a go with AD and if it doesn’t work, they trade him this summer for 3-4 future 1sts.

Imagine AD on OKC. They have picks out the wazoo. This gives Dalls a chance to field a playoff team this year and all those future 1sts that usually amount to nothing can still be had in the offseason.

 

Does anyone think ADs injury concerns had something to go with this?

 

His age alone and Luka being the better player makes it a no brainer. I'd feel the same way if AD only missed 5 games a year on average.

Thrilled with the trade for the future, but not seeing the fit with Lebron and Luka on the court at the same time. Do we do Lebron a favor and let him go play with Steph for like Dray and Wiggins?

I wonder if this deal would’ve still been sitting there in the offseason? I guess you don’t take that gamble when someone comes to you offering Luka.

I can't believe we traded for the next LeBron... while still having the current LeBron!

 

i think lebron will be able to play with luka just fine.

it's on defense where we'll be in some trouble. on offense, i think lebron needs to not be handling out top anymore (really shouldn't have been last year, either). and reaves can do it, but it's shaky. now everyone is slotted where they need to be, offensively.

and early in the season we had that going too, with AD being the first option, but we had some initiating issues in that configuration.

anyway, we'll see, but i don't think this means lebron's leaving.

I don't think Bron goes anywhere. Retiring a Laker matters legacy wise. Statue, retired jersey, etc. Just how AD has wanted a big since he got here, Bron has wanted another high level ball handler. Just backed the wrong horse with Russ. He's figured out the balance before with other HOF guards, he'll do it again.
