That makes you worse and by a good margin. The Bogi shooting numbers are scary bad and Capela has aged

I'm not trading Vanderbilt for that. As a matter of fact, I'd trade Rui and Finney-Smith before I traded Vanderbilt.

Vando and Reaves are keepers. On excellent contracts to boot.

Claxton 6’11” 215lbs. Better not be coming to us if this guy knows anything. Don’t care how good or not.

Bogdonovic and Capella? How bad are we being gutted to make salaries work? Ay yay yay. Getting nervous now.

Never heard of this guy either, so we can almost certainly count out anything he posts. It's that time of the year where all the NBA "insiders" come out to play to claim all these potential deals that never happen. Eric Zhang looking to follow in the footsteps of Jake Fischer, Evan Sidery, and others who aggregate news and report on it.

I'm not saying some of these guys don't have some level of contacts in front offices, but they never report breaking rumors that actually happen. Not shooting the messenger here Slick, I just get triggered by so many of these hacks, especially around the deadline.

But the SA - Fox stuff does seem to be picking up steam...

Lot of the SA fan accounts vouch for him too

    Then there's this

Both those are in the local SA media, latter is on NBA TV on occasion

only issue with vando is career-long injury absences. otherwise, yes--he's worth near twice his contract. reaves may be worth almost thrice his.

Vando is great and i love the guy but when it's PO's time, you're playing 4 on 5, since his defender just helps all the time. Now, when he makes a three or two, things change a lot, so lets all hope he finds his shot... and we make the playoffs :D

    Here's the highlights:

I don't like what we lose defensively unless we add Fultz. Bogi can handle some and even struggling, he's probably what JJ wants DK to be this year regarding play comprehension.

Depending on cost, I'd be interested. I don't see how we get there in a 2 team deal. We're $4.5m short if it's the package above + Rui and that's a 4 player for 2 player trade.

The rumor mill is heating up. It will probably be fill blown, off the chain by Tuesday night.

Dejounte Murray has been running into some tough luck lately.

Brutal year for NO. Murray hasn't been able to stay healthy since getting there either.

    Back to the mill...

    Bogdan

And apparently there's some movement on a possible LaVine to GS deal

Capela doesn't excite much, but he still better than Koloko, apparently Vucevic is too old, Valancunas sucked yesterday.
If LaVine to GSW Dennis should be available.

I guess we could swing Capela and draft picks to Indiana. They aren't prohibited from taking in more salary than they send out.

If we are getting involved with ATL on a trade involving Bogdanovic, I hope we do actually try to make it Bogdanovic+Capela somehow.

Capela isn’t a terrible center based on what he’s expected to do, which is defend the paint, rebound, roll to the rim and finish within 3 feet from the basket. He could be used effectively the same way McGee and Dwight was used on the bubble team next to AD.

I think it would haunt us to go into the playoffs with AD as our only real capable center and Capela can really help with that. He’s on an expiring deal and maybe we can agree on a reasonable new deal ($12-15 mil/season) for a few years.

However the only way this’ll work salary cap wise would be Gabe/Rui/JHS and 2 of the minimum players (Wood/Shake?). The amount of draft capital would surely be the sticking point, but if it costs a heavily protected 1st and a couple of second rounders (or a pick swap)… it really could give this team a lot more balance and depth at several positions going into the playoffs to make some real noise (WCF and possible finals). It would also open up roster spots for the buyout market post trade deadline.

There would also be plenty of playing time at different positions for each player, and we would have a solid 8 man rotation. We could have the depth to try to keep AD and Lebrons playing time to around 34mpg. Below in brackets is how playing time could be split by position.

    PG: Reaves (32) /Bogdonavic (16)
    SG: Christie (28) /Bogdonavic (10) /Knect (10)
    SF: LeBron (18) / DFS (20) / Knect (10)
    PF: AD (14) / Lebron(16)/Vando (18)
    C: Clint (28) / AD (20)

The ironic thing is trading Gabe would actually require us to try to find a Gabe type role player (solid off the bench point guard who can give you 10-15mpg and just defend and hit open 3s). We would have to get lucky in the buyout market, but it would be a pretty complete team

i may look dumb later, but assuming the same price, i'm actually taking vuc over capela. and i'm traditionally a defense over offense guy.
