Annnyway...back on track. I recommend everyone watch the full 15 minutes JJ gave the media on Friday. Moving stuff. Pretty cool he was going to be helping coach his boys before the fires happened and the rec center was lost. Hopefully he and the fam can find a new community they can embrace and get involved in like the one they just lost. Curious to see the level of engagement he can rally from the guys against the Spurs considering everyone's head will be elsewhere.
He's an offense over defense coach but he has very few 2 way players so I don't blame him much ( Austin and Rui can't defend and Cam can't make a layup)

The lack of defensive adjustment to that stupid Chris Paul Harrison Barnes PnR was bad. Not sure why he didn't bring in DFS in way sooner and put him on Paul and put Lebron on Barnes to kill that action. Overall not great as the Spurs adjusted after the Lakers late run and the Lakers and JJ didn't
Went back and looked, and in the last game, JJ only tried the DFS+starters lineup once...for 13 seconds. Unacceptable. If he can't figure out the rotations, then I guess the "start DFS over Rui" crowd is right, even if it demoralizes Rui and hurts his on-court play...but that would be JJ's fault. Good cause it specifically didn't work. Not sure why it's reared it's ugly head again against Texas teams but we were doing really good defensively when we moved away from the switching. We don't have the roster for it. You can switch 1-4 in some lineups against some teams, but it can't be your primary pitch. You also can't involve AD in it unless you go get Kessler and have AD at PF and then still only switch 1-4. All teams have to do and ARE doing is get AD on a switch against a guard, swing the ball to the weak side and any of the other 4 players have an open lane to drive straight to the rim.
Cool of CP and Wemby (and Austin, if you catch the shout out at the end of JJ's vid) to do this for his kids Hell of a collection they lost if everyone he had on the pod signed something for them.
Yeah I don't like that. The previous game was like 2 minutes. I guess JJ is using DFS with each one of Bron/AD to hold the bench units together but we need to play our strongest lineup more often, ask Thibs lol He's been quick to adjust to glaring things, so I imagine this will be corrected within the next few games
