Rob is something else. Heard the clamoring for a big, bruising C and he gives us one who's yet another 3rd stringer while dumping a fan favorite.

Toronto had interest in Rui before. Irwin said earlier this week there's been some internal discussion about Brown, but we don't want to give up Rui AND draft capital for him (so what about him + something?)

I need to see Brown get more reps before the deadline, see rust fall off and how the knee responds, but seeing how this team should be slotted and if we can't get Kessler, I think Toronto is my next call.

Rui, Gabe, Wood, and a first for Brown and Mitchell.

Greatly improves your defense, toughness, ball handling (remember Brown ran 2nd unit with DEN at PG), and switchability.

Offense might be tough, but that's high end playoff defense. That's the only path i see where this team can make noise.

You would need to know where you stand with the ability to retain both players because they're on the final year of their deal. Can't give up a first if they might walk.


You clear a roster spot too for a microwave scorer if you want to run it back with Lonnie or a buyout candidate.

Then if you really want to get serious, you can still do JHS, Jax and a 2nd for Sharpe and Wilson (required for salary purposes)

JHS earns $3,879,840.
Sharpe earns $3,989,122.

Difference is -190,282. We need to send a contract of at least that, so we need to send a 2nd player.

Yeah, talked about that some days ago. It still leaves us with 2 glaring needs: shot creation and a bruiser big. But a closing lineup of AR, Brown, DFS, Bron and AD is as good as it gets.
Mitchell is an interesting case. A bit worrying he apparently lost his spot for Shead, if I'm reading it correctly. Anyone knows why? He would be a nice addition to that deal.
That coupled with that 2nd deal for Sharpe would be perfect. I like your proposal, would sign off in a heartbeat. Especially because we would retain one pick. Unsure if Raptors and Nets bite, but rooting for it

That's a 109k man, where did you learn math? Lol..you can eyeball those numbers and know it's a shade over 100k.We could throw in Koloko, and make the salaries work. 2way players can be traded too.

We don't need Brown, especially giving up a FRP and 3 players for him. That's ridiculous
