They can. Had to be a different youngin' they wanted from us, or to make salaries work? Or Irwin's got it wrong.

that was my thought, too. i'd rather spend a second on sharpe than two firsts on kessler. bit of a fumble, imo, if we refused that.

Yeah way too bizarre for that not to go down unless the report is wrong or the Lakers already had another move worked out

If it's true and the hold up was a 2nd rd pick...
We're a worse organization than i thought, and i don't think much of us lately. My god, what a disaster :(

eh, we don't know if it's true or how things will shake out, center-wise.

given the reporting after the DFS trade, it sounds like we played that pretty well and memphis is pissed about it.

So you know it's probably not true that was all we needed to give up to get Sharpe instead of Shake, rather than more likely they wanted one of our other players we weren't willing to let go, or Irwin simply has it wrong no matter whose fault on that, OR there's another gettable target the FO feels .... yet the above??

With that kind of inside information being leaked no doubt someone would have their a** fired. Handy, if it was him with all the other leaks last couple years (probably) isn't here any more.

annoyed that we're still center-less and phx is supposedly going to get charlotte to eat nurkic for richards....

feel like this is some "chicago is going to eat nnaji in a lavine trade" type reporting.

Fans would be bored without the "insiders" gossip. Most of it is wrong but it sparks conversations. Pretty good gig actually, where you don't really ever to be right much, and still have a decent following.

I get the impression that Irwin doesn't care for Rob .much.

i think it's a good gig but harder than it seems from the outside. you have to be right sometimes for people to listen, and the sources of your information all have their own agendas. if you piss them off, you lose access to future stuff, but telling the truth is going to piss someone off. so you have to learn how and when to deploy truth and amplify semi-falsehoods.

plus, you have to doggedly pursue folks for info in ways that would be exhausting and would make me question what i'm doing with my life, tbh. and most of these folks don't get rich, either. the ones who do are the ones who are most on the take.

    anyway, it's an interesting business.

lol, ya think?!! imo, he hurts his brand this way, but he almost seems to be intentionally pursuing a skip bayless type "i'll just pick someone to demonize and make it my personality" arch. and i guess, sadly, it worked for bayless.

I still don't know where the Suns rumor originated from. I only saw it after Sidery the aggregation "insider" ran with it. But everything he says, it's usually easy to find the source. Everyone ran with this one though and I still haven't found where it came from.

Gambo updated on a couple of the Suns targets, so there is some truth to it

Kessler to Boston is another one that's popped up on social media and I can't find the origin. Wouldn't be the first time former C bag gave away talent to their former team for free.

after this game and the Mavs game, I'm more than ever on the side that the FO shouldn't even think of spending a FRP, unless it's for a superstar. Save it for the rebuild.

make a lateral move to get a center, so we at least can enjoy the rest of the season and at best try to win a playoff series, but apart from that, investing more in this team would be a waste.

I still want us to make a couple of trades. Get one big center as backup and move Rui/Wood for Vucevic. I don't care whether it's Valanciunas for Gabe and seconds or Sharpe for DHS and seconds or Kessler for DHS and a first plus drop the protection on the first they have from us. I just hope we have a better roster for the second half of the season than we do currently.

Yes. The reality is, if we are going to be serious about getting a 5 that can play major minutes, Rui or Vando has to go though.

Is Sacre available or he finished his career ? Even he can help, Kokoko or Hayes isn't that .Get somebody who is close to 7 foot and can play 20+ minutes every game
P .S .Toronto in rebuild, try to get Olynik from them he would help in games like yesterday, when AD was in foul trouble

Those guys are playing up to the value of their contracts though. It's not their fault that the fans expect every guy to be like Austin. A player that produces way above his contract.

Now if Reaves starts asking for 30M or something, it's going to be a different conversation.

Sacre is a GM somewhere in Canada. He's still relatively young though, I'm sure he could play some. :)

Weird thing is, that our young guys seem to struggle, when facing other young athletic guys in their age group.

I've been watching Vucevic offence highlights, he's got some Duncan to his offense with the soft touch around the rim and array of push shots and hook shots. He's got the three ball too which is a plus. Obviously not saying they're in the same league just gave me similar vibes.
