I'd go after Carlisle hard if he's done with Dallas next season. Get two max guys next FA and then hit the ground running.

There aren't really two max guys next year. Durant isn't coming here in all likelihood and Conely plays a position where we just drafted a potential star. The second tier is like Horford, Jennings, Noah...after that, it's awful. I think we will be just filling in with more one year rentals. Maybe GSW let Harrison Barnes walk? I doubt it though.

If you get Carlisle to coach, I think a lot of guys look at LA differently.

I wouldn't be surprised if we are under a .500 team but I feel like not only we're going to suck but we're going to struggle and its going to look ugly in the process with Byron at the helm (ala Mike Brown the 1st 10 games of 2012/2013). Byron doesn't inspire confidence at all

I'm glad they are giving Scott a chance to prove he can Coach. Here is his best opportunity to do it. A bunch of young talented players to teach, a proven rim protector to enable his pressure D, a couple of solid Vets in Williams and Bass, and Kobe, who he gets respect from which ain't easy. So IMO if things go well, let's say 45 wins, he should stay on, no matter who's available. I do like the idea of adding another assistant, like Shaw, Monte

Conley told Marc Gasol that is Gasol was still there, Conley wouldn't be going anywhere.

Carlisle is one of the best coaches in the NBA (top 3?), of you can pry him away from Cuban you do it. No ifs ands or buts. Regardless of his roster, I don't see Cuban letting him get away though.

Carlisle. Thibs will wear your legs out. Look at the Bulls come playoff time these dudes just look exhausted.

Carlisle by a mile... Better at in game strategy. Thibodeau's calling card is defense but his teams look offensively lacking.

Yeah, he's incompetent. He needs to go. The sooner the better. I don't know how I'm going to get through a year with dreaded coaching staff...

I agree, but I seriously doubt Cuban lets him go. Cuban is a very smart man. He knows what he has in Jim Carrey.
