    And another injury
Porzingis is doubtful to return to Wednesday's game against the 76ers due to left ankle. Way too many injuries this season
But only one and only AD is a street cloth lol

i think he narrowly avoided a torn achilles, and both he and dallas need to think about his offseason training and diet at this point.

that said, they can tread water without him if they don't have other injuries, and they've shown they don't need homecourt to beat everyone else in the west, so i don't think they're dead, presuming he can return in a couple months. but the road will be hard again, which it shouldn't be with their roster construction. they should be the 2-seed in the west, not the 6 or worse.

Luka needs to get his act together. He should be the face of the NBA s/p the old guys and he's got so much going for him including the swagger of a Bird/Jordan type. But it's just so hard to take him seriously with the way he just doesn't give a s*** about taking care of his body. The weight and lack of fitness is starting to impact him - the atrocious defense last year, these types of injuries, the slow start to the year.

You can talk s*** as much as you want and boy does he tends to back it up but at the end of the day he's got no MVPs and no titles now into year 7. That's not the trajectory he should be on

If he played for us that would be the last time anyone saw him play ball.

How many summers did Luka play for Slovenia in a row before his country didn't qualify for the 24 Olympics ?

Way too many minutes played at the age of 25

he's actually had a lot of success, comparable to other all-time greats (not everyone is drafted on to a team with prime kareem or david robinson on it), but yeah, you can't just roll in fat every year and expect it won't catch up to you.

well, i guess harden did that for a long time before it finally did, so maybe some guys can (jokic shows up woefully out of shape almost every year, imo). but i think luka is seeing he's not one of them.

Not interested in Valančiūnas. Plays no defense and is on the decline. Doesn’t matter if you have a big body to use against Jokic if you won’t defend

in fairness, i don't think the idea is or should be that we need a guy to stop jokic. that's nuts. we need a guy to take some of the physical toll off of AD, night in and night out. in a playoff series, AD is still playing center like, 90% of the time. we just can't keep throwing him out there against these dudes with tree trunks for legs and asking him to keep them off the glass every trip down.

valanciunas is of the same class (actually, sill better, tbh) as most of our other targets (e.g., sharpe, richards, etc.) and shouldn't cost much in trade, so i get the interest. and again, if that's where we were focused like a laser, i think it would have already happened.

no one is available that fits the bill and that would make us contenders, I think

we could take a flyer on Zion but that could also go horribly wrong if his injuries persist.

I didn't know we have three first-round picks to trade. I thought it was only 2029 and 2031 and swaps in 2026,2027, and 2030.

He said a player or players(s). I don't see any one player that really stands out from those 4 teams, but a good package of players could be put together.

Lakers are contenders if they can avoid Denver who are also not strong as were last season and having a lot of injury issues.I still didn't get what happened after the break in our last game vs them, but Lakers definitely can beat any team including Cavs or C Bags and especially any team in the Western conference
It's up to Rob and Jeanie to make some freaking trades and it should not be like all star players Zion or etc,but Valancunas is perfect candidate.Kuz or Ingram aren't bad too.
P.S I am pretty sure that if Davis would be on Washington roster he would be considered just average because there's no reason to play hard there .They are tanking, but Valancunas still getting a lot of rebounds

I don’t expect Washington to trade him to us without an actual valuable asset coming back. In fact I think that’s why they signed him in the first place.

No skin off their back if no one bites, but they know the Lakers need a center so I think they’ll want more than I want to give up.

In his last game vs Oklahoma
    Valanciunas finished with 12 points (6-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt), 16 rebounds !!

Well that’s good. A check in that pro column.

I just hate the idea of signing a big that doesn’t play defense
