didn't think gs would be bidding on schroder. we couldn't have beaten it unless we offered a 1st, tbh. dlo's expiring would have required a bigger deal, and gabe's got another year on his deal, which requires an extra tax, usually.

Don't care about the trades, including the dumkopf one but i agree about Jeanie. She needs to sell the team. The sooner the better.

 

We’ve just been terrible at managing the margins.

We let Brook Lopez go and he went on to have another half decade of high level play.

We let Caruso walk and he is one of the best POA defenders and kept THT instead.

We let Howard and McGee leave and never replaced them when players like Gafford were available.

We let Schroeder leave and resigned DLO and went out to get Gabe.

Even Prince and Dinwiddie look better in proper roles than they did here.

And we never got a decent SF to pair alongside LeBron and AD.

That’s been the death by a thousand cuts problem with the lakers.

We couldn't have beaten the deal for DS because they only wanted expirings coming back. I did kind of like the idea of them being an option as a one stop shop (Lane talked about that a lot lately), but we might have to break it up a bit to get what we need. I do like they wanted a first for him and didn't get it. Having to take 2nds back this early is very good news for us and the market price in our search for NBA level talent.

I haven't seen Brogdon this year, they played him for a stretch to showcase him and looks like that shut him down again until he's moved. I had some buy low interest in him before, but at $22m that takes too much talent to make the deal work, even as an expiring. If he made half that, I'm interested.


If we move both multiple PGs between now and Feb and don't get one back, by all means.
