For one thing the hesitancy to play or try Quincy while sitting Gabe is it would be a horrible look if we’re doing our best to include him in a trade, with Dec 15 at least only 2 weeks away. Would seem a rational reason to not do that yet?

This is bad, like reeeeally bad. I expected a bad start with this roster, but I didn’t expect the team to quit on the system 20 games in. I’m starting to wonder if this is just who we are with these stars now, because this is 3 coaches in a row that this has happened with. I guess teams really follow LeBron and AD’s lead, and LeBron is old, lazy, and doesn’t put blame on himself, and well, AD is very easy to break mentally apparently. Really starting to wonder where this team goes from here, the FO is not going to go all in for these guys, them playing like this is just the justification they need to not do so, and they’re also not going to move on and rebuild, so we’re just stuck here as a play-in team year after year after year. Soon enough we won’t even be in the play-in picture if this keeps up.

The Nuggets took this particular group's soul in the WCF. Changes should have started being made immediately afterwards.

Instead We thought all we needed ..

" Was to run it back, with a full training camp together"! The Golden State series, was this group's peak.

    The circus has arrived folks

i don't think there's anywhere to go, as i just said in the other thread. and i agree it's the stars. lebron doesn't lead by example anymore, and AD just isn't a leader. it's not his thing. teams take on the character of their leaders, for better and worse. the lakers are a team that's above doing the little things it takes to win games. screens? that's for the other guys? closing out, boxing out, recovering, etc.? the other guys do that.

once again, pretty much nobody ever said this. we're 12-10 and projecting about where everyone thought we'd be: play-in tier.

no trade we passed on would have us much better off right now, imo. and no trade that seems out there right now is going to put much of a dent in things.

if guys don't decide they care enough to play hard and attend to detail, we'll get waxed.

Because for some unknown reason, you seem to think, that the players we have, are the best, that we could have gotten. I don't agree with that assessment.

Hell yeah, nobody should have expected this particular roster, to do anything, we've already seen them together, going on 3 seasons now. They are who they are, I don't follow your idea of not giving up our "assets" , besides Reaves, what assets should we be holding on to?

    It is what it is.

This group is mailing it in completely again. Just not the right mix of guys unfortunately.

No toughness. No fire. No competitiveness.

And I say all that as someone who expected us to be a play in team again.

At this point pretty much every one except Dalton should be available for the right move.

I'm getting these vibes, that AD is about to ask to be traded, if we don't go get some more bigs. Another subtle little thing, that I'm noticing, is that JJ, has been taking a lot of subliminal shots at the FO, in the midst of his "owning " things

i think this because it's quite obvious we've peddled the entire roster in trade for two years now. we've seen what the asking prices were and what our targets went for. we've been stuck with this group unless we wanted to make an obvious downgrade, imo.

knecht, reaves (for now), all first round picks.

obviously, all of them are on the table if a real superstar under 30 were to come available, but none of them for anything short of that.

If AD asked out I would actually be glad. But more next year than this one, as we don't own this year's pick.
AD is entering the red flag zone of a player where he gets a max past 30y old age. It's the "bad max". And we all know his health history.
Combine him and Bron exits would be the ideal, getting assets for AD and take 3/4 years to get back competing

Olivari is probably rooting for that as he would get a multi million dollar contract if he's running a tanking team

it all depends on what lebron does, imo. if lebron stays on another year, AD will be here. and that's ok; i get why. but it probably won't be pretty.

I think we can improve this team this season, and still keep Reaves, Knecht, and all our FRP.( Probably either Vando or Tinkerbell too).It doesn't have to be a blockbuster move, but there are moves out here IMO, that can both reset this roster, and gives us a legit shot in the playoffs.

We don't even know if Olivari is a starting caliber player yet. Or rotation piece either for that matter.

i hope you're right. based on asking prices (which don't tend to come down until the very last minute), it's currently slim pickings.

Man, we’ve got a roster full of dumb*** players, just the absolute worst decision making you could possibly have night after night after night. Why are we passing in to AD to get fouled at the end of games, give it to a guard. Why are we shooting a contested 35 foot 3 with 5 seconds left on the clock to end OT when we are only down 2? I hate this team, like I legit hate the way they play, lazy, no defense, leaving 3 point shooters open by what appears to be design. They kept this roster together for continuity, yet they play like they met last week. I’m ready for the LeBron/AD era to be over, LeBron is as ball dominant as ever at 40, and AD could make diamonds from coal in his behind to close games. Khmrp called AD low IQ, and I was like nahh, but then yeah, he kind of is. Who lets themselves get trapped for a jump ball up at the end of the game? Who repeatedly fouls 3 point shooters at the end of games, makes lazy telegraphed passes to their security blanket Bron. Just awful, awful, I can’t wait for the rebuild, it will suck, but at least it’ll be a new kind of sucking and not this crap on repeat over and over and over. You could see that overtime choke job coming a mile away.

while Gabe had a great game, that last possession for Trae 3 was truly representative of their collective IQ, in no scenario would EVER help off of Trae. I thought Atl would've gotten Trae a wide open 3 in regulation, didnt happen but it did come in OT and I knew that was coming
