Exactly! He’s a MAJOR upgrade. We need someone who can go get buckets when Lebron and AD are having an off night.

I was thinking about this the other day - I'm not trading any firsts unless it's for an impact piece (All-Star or All-Star-ish) and they're under 30.

Trade all the seconds you want to shuffle the roster, but be mindful of those firsts.

 

Luckily most of the guys available for trade at the moment, don't require a FRP attached. Manna from heaven? Perfect opportunity to go in a different direction IMO.

hes the face of nepo baby syndrome, while he maybe a 2nd pick, he represents everything awful with klutch/bron and this team is basically laughing stock of the league. He didn't earn being picked, didnt earn 4yr guaranteed deal and hes barely "earning" his spot on gleague team

This team needs much with little assets to obtain.Sure they can become a little better team with trades but I don’t see any realistic scenario that makes them a legitimate contender

 

The crime is that just about everyone has known this for a couple of seasons and still here they are floundering

 

Maybe Lebron and AD's Olympics vacation, is coming back to bite them in the a**? Low energy and dead legs are signs of fatigue.

 

It depends on who we got in a trade. The West isn't exactly loaded with legit title contenders. A lot of pretty decent teams, one injury away from the 10-12 spot IMO. Who's really elite in the Conference?

 

nothing i've seen since the orlando collapse makes me feel like moving any piece that could have value after this season so that we can improve now. too far to go. this probably needs to be the last year of the lebron/AD lakers.

 

And then what? 5 years of Austin, Rui and Tinkerbell?

i mentioned this in another thread. steph fell off a cliff/got nagging injuries recently, too. all three of the key old guys on the olympics squad look gassed/hurt after all three looking pretty good to start the season.
