I prefer Jonas, but he is not as good of a shooter as Vuc, if that's what your going for.

 

I don't know if simply getting one of those guys would fix our problems, though.

 

I'd rather be greedy than needy. Valancunas is on a 10M per contract. Go get him too IMO. I'm completely down with two bigs starting. That's a much better overall version of Javale and Dwight, supporting AD.

 

Interesting. Might be a bit of an over correction? NBA equivalent to doomsday prepping for the 7-foot zombie apocalypse or trying to create a WWF 90's Knicks type-image. Could go with some line-ups with AD at the 3! Ah, what the heck, if it doesn't work out, at least we could tell AD we tried. Those guys contracts are not that bad either. I'm down.

 

Reportedly could get Vuc for Dlo + two 2nds. Also, might be able to get Jonas for Gabe + top 13 lottery protected 1st, or Max + JHS + two 2nds. I think you still need to add better shooters if you are doing that. Can't just rely on Knecht for that. If you could turn Rui into a shooter, it would be much better.

 

Not really..Vucevic is an Euro big, folks just sleep on him a lot, because he's played his entire career in the East. Two time All-Star regardless.

He would fit AD like a glove IMO. He's a jump shooting big, that shoots better than an AD from 15-18 ft, all the way out to the 3pt line, with volume. He boards at a double digit clip, sets good screens, and like most Euro guys, he's a skilled offensive player.

Perfect compliment, then bring Valanciunas off the bench to bang old school style. He's a Euro too, and he's not exactly a lumbering stiff.

 

Do it Rob! ASAP..before someone else beats us to the punch. We can have at least one quality big, on the floor at all times. That will shake up our look bigtime. I bet we would make Jokic a** work on both ends, every minute he's on the floor. Every other big in the NBA too.

Reeves isn't going anywhere, maybe not Tinkerbell either. But No..Vucevic starts with AD. Valancunas is the back up 5.

Would you trade Reaves for Herb Jones? There salaries are exactly the same. Lakers need better perimeter defense and athleticism. Jones is a better fit with Knecht. Reaves is a better fit with Murphey. New Orleans has a lot of wings already.

The nine-year veteran is considered a good leader in the locker room and has played more small-ball center minutes in recent years.

 

Vucevic is one of the worst defensive bigs in the league and would be a liability every minute he’s out there without AD next to him. If we want a bigger center to play with AD, it much rather have the cheaper option in Val.

 

my concern with vuc is that it takes dlo (expiring) to get him. i think jonas can be had without giving up dlo (or his expiring).

IF vuc could be had without moving a first and not using dlo (or in a three-way where dlo's skills are replicated), i'm in.
