Was working the car show last 3 days at the Convention Center and finally got to see Kobe’s and Kobe and Gianna’s statues for the first time today. They’re really great. Wasn’t initially thinking with the angel wings that I’d like those but they’re not attached to them …. they’re kind of an alcove surrounding them and their faces look great. His number 1 pointing with his arm raised too right in front is awesome. there’s quite a distance between them with the Kobe and Gianna statue aways off approaching that area where the VIP entrance is. A lot of room still for a Luka statue eventually.
Time to start attacking the closeout off the dribble. Kind of out of control on some drives but he's got a few really pretty midrange pullups. Next step for him will to be use that or drive and kick to exploit teams like Orlando closing out hard on him
Another nice offensive night from Knecht. I'd seriously consider keeping him with the starters and bringing Rui off the bench.
OK I know absolutely ZIP about McCain. Somebody please smarten me up about that guy and what he’s doing this year both sides of the ball that he’s (I guess?) clearly ahead in the young ROTY race?
Oh ... OK, thanks. I see he's also humble, not one of those chest pounding/look-at-me types. Jared McCain Dubs Himself 'Rookie of the Year' After 30-Point Performance for 76ers https://www.si.com/nba/jared-mccain-dubs-himself-rookie-of-the-year-76ers Get im Dalton!!
I mean, that's not really fair. He's playing pretty friggin well. It's not his fault he's been thrusted into a crap situation.
I'm giving Rui a little post injury ramp up/ get right time but danm he's been Casper out there. Dalton's coming for your spot so you better get right. DK seems to really benefit from the rhythm that starting gave him. Plus since his scoring explosion teams have been really guarding him, so he has to adjust there
Shooters need to get into a rhythm to be effective. Three shots is not nearly enough for the guy who should be shooting the most threes on our team.
We had a great momentum going when Knecht started. I understand what Redick is doing, though. He was an NBA player, so he knows what it's like to be a rookie and a veteran. He emphasizes with Rui that it is only fair to return to your previous role before the injury and not be replaced by a rookie. Maybe he should have taken Cam out of the starting lineup though, and made adjustments from there. He probably even knew the repercussions, too, but went with it because it was the right thing to do. I think he now knows that Dalton needs to go back into the starting unit.
Luckily if anyone gets that it's a HC who made his money as a player as a shooter. Yep. You have to give Rui the chance to keep his spot and not just replace him because he got hurt. Politics matter. I don't think it'll be Cam losing his spot cause after the game, JJ made a point to emphasize we have limited options for guys who can pickup someone full court. Healthy Cam is the only perimeter defender on the roster and one of two defensive players on the roster, period. If you're going to start DK and AR, you have to have at least one defensive guy with them.
Cam sucks, and I'm standing on that hill. He's a third-string defensive wing on most teams. Rui sucked last game. This team just sucks. I'd give Dalton and chance and wouldn't think twice. Unfortunately, we have to keep Reddish in the starting lineup because he's the only plus defender aside from AD in that starting 5...
