Come on my man Knecht is getting in the right spots and just missing some wide open looks.
he showed some good hustle and the ability to threaten in multiple ways - just needs to start making some of these easy shots for him

Don't care. These are shots he's gonna routinely make as he gets more comfortable. He's gotta take them.

A few of the shots bounced out, he's going to be ok. He's smart and has good instincts. We just have to wait for everything to come together for him. I think it happens still in this season and he becomes a regular contributor.

He will definitely win us a game or 2 just because he goes crazy and makes 8+ threes

jj's gotten him some good shots, imo. not sure why he's missing those wide open corner threes but hitting the more tightly contested dho/screen threes from the angles.

bigger issue is he has to be better on defense. this was the concern coming in, and it's still here. i'm not worried about him figuring the shot out, but you can't play if you can be hunted.

Kid will get there. JJ will stay in his ear and tell him to keep shooting. Slumps happen, but great shooters always figure it out.

How come you’re more patient with Knecht than my boy JHS? There seems to be a reason for that

    :ADnaughty:

I think you are thinking of someone else. I have actually been supporting, but think he needs to mix in a steak once in awhile. I think he needs time to develop and adjust to the speed of the game. I don't believe we have given up on his yet in spite of not picking up the contract option. All that told me was they valued the flexibility and he wasn't a no brainer on the extension amount. Time to step up and earn his keep.

if the kid is who they thought he was, he'll continue to work hard and improve

Once he finds his groove, and assuming Cam is able to keep up his good play on both sides of the floor, this team cam be pretty damn good. Hopefully they can capitalize on the softer schedule and build some momentum.

Knecht needs to become better on D though, ASAP.

Play him over Gabe please. That lineup of Reaves/Knecht/Rui/LeBron/AD was KILLER on both ends. And I'm sorry but Gabe does not make up for his offensive inefficiencies on the other end...he routinely gets scored on and he has to alwayss guard guys that are bigger.

I'd much rather close with Reaves/Knecht/Rui/LeBron/AD. Everybody is over 6'5. Nobody is really a liability and Knecht is a lot better defensively than ppl have given him credit for in the sense that he's a big body with relatively long arms, and he actually got a key steal.

He was feelin it tonight, my only complaint would be his teammates didn’t look to get him MORE shots. Absolutely sparked the comeback when it looked like we might give up and lose though

This guy is an absolute gamer man - we HAVE to play him 25mpg thsi year. He should bascailly assume Taurean Prince's role from last year (once we moved him to the bench)

My man Knecht getting some confidence now. Streaky but when he is on holy s*** he gets on an NBA Jam fire mode.
Really think he has a chance to be a star - that athletic ability of his just makes him different than other shooters. Add in the pretty good floor game of his with dribble/vision and he's got a real bright future
