can we do buyouts if we're over the first apron? can't remember the rules.

i'd start lopez next to AD but limit him to like 20mpg. but yes, this move would have to be complimented by a move for a quicker pg.

my eye is still on cole anthony as a buy low candidate, and yes, your boy is also a target.

Can Cole at least defend? His shooting stats look below average thus far in his career, and he's a bit shy on the volume side as well. I know you said buy low though. Hopefully he would have some upside.

Okc took their foot off the gas for Russ’s first non-terrible game of the year. Yay?

Let's see how he responds to getting benched by his new coach too. It got his attention when Ham did it.

LaVine fixes none of our issues, he makes them worse. We’d have to trade like 4 or 5 players to get him. Brook Lopez fixes nothing either, he’s 36 years old, paid over 20 mil per, if we gave up a first to get him… Cam Johnson I wouldn’t mind, he’d help depending who went out for him.

I think Dlo, Gabe, JHS, and min matches Schroeder and Cam Johnson. I would be really interested in something like that.

Most of this board thought he was a scrub. Perhaps he got better player development after getting away from Phil Handy?

taylor jenkins consistently gets more out of guys, much like spoelstra. jake laravia is playing well for them this year, and who's heard of david roddy in the past couple years? memphis may become the new miami (who replaced the spurs) in terms of "don't sign their role players in free agency".

BTW …. did anyone else feel a teeny bit suspicious when the same summer we took AD from NO … either that same draft period (I was thinking) or the next they came up with the ping pong balls to draft Zion? No way! Way??

We have more from the Pacific Division:

As we relayed Friday, Cam Reddish took D’Angelo Russell‘s spot in the Lakers‘ starting five. Russell was moved to the bench last season when the team began to lose too, but his connection with then-coach Darvin Ham suffered, Dave McMenamin writes of ESPN. This time with JJ Redick coaching the team, Russell is approaching the situation with a different mentality. “I left all that, all my baggage at the door this summer once we changed coaches and new staff came in,” Russell said. “I was committed to whatever it takes. That’s what y’all see now.”
The Lakers are expected to be active on the trade market after a 5-4 start with a 24th-ranked defense, Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report relays. Fischer names Milwaukee’s Brook Lopez and Washington’s Jonas Valanciunas as two targets on L.A.’s “internal board,” with Russell potentially being available as outgoing salary.
Just do it , enough of speculations

What, like the Spurs getting the 1st pick when Wemby committed to the draft?
