Losing Hedgehog was as bad as losing Caruso in a lot of ways but people Schroeder wasnt a fan favorite.

He was really good against quick guards and he caused other teams problems with his quick ess. Meanwhile team kill the Lakers with quickness.

Gabe Max ain't going to win you games by scoring and it shows

Got worked by a bigger, stronger, faster, more athletic Cavs team. Bron had some moments and DK cooked in garbage time, other than that we sucked

Dealing with injuries and sickness heading into the game and now AD has a jammed hip to boot.

Not a great roadie so far.

Annoying they just Dinwiddie go. He was a good fit for this team as he could guard 1 and 2 reliably.

f*** Ham for messing him up just when he was developing a flow and management for just rolling over guys and picking dudes like Max over players who can actually contribute to wins

I think we're in good shape if we salvage these next 3 games; an 8-2 or 7-3 start isn't too shabby for the first 10 games.

There are glaring holes on this roster, though. Just need to keep stacking wins however they come and try to fix the roster issues by the trade deadline.

The performance by the team tonight was nothing short of embarrassing.

There were turnovers, a lack of effort, poor rebounding.
Our bench is so bad, just bad.
As constructed, we're not contenders but my goodness at least play hard. That was the difference the first 3 games and the following games, the effort has gone down.

This Detroit game was an atrocity.

I don’t know why people are surprised at losses like this, this isn’t a good team. We have like 6 actual NBA players in our rotation with Wood and Vando out, we have Gabe and Max contributing ZERO points almost nightly while making 11 mil and 7.1 mil right now, those are like contributing role player salaries not dead weight salaries. LeBron is old, he’s not gonna do it every night anymore, DLo and Reaves is a relatively slow and unathletic backcourt as we saw tonight as Detroit’s guards just jumped over us and scored all night. Rui is still limited on defense and can get tunnel vision at times on offense. We had to play Reddish tonight, who ALSO gave us zero points. This is just who we are as is, it’s up to the FO to either be good with that, or try to improve around the margins or even in a big way and go all-in on prime AD.

Yeah. We just don’t have enough real players right now.

not an excuse to lose to detroit, imo. losing to cleveland and phx on the road because they have better players is fine. this loss is unacceptable. like detroit has more legitimate nba players? bollox. hardaway and beasley play 25+ mpg there, man.

we have more than enough talent to beat them. this is about effort and execution. we coasted after the first four games, which has been extremely typical of the lebron/AD post-title era.

edit: not finished. playoff positioning in the west will once again come down to 2-3 games meaning huge differences, and we've already banked a loss to one of the worst teams in the league. boo.

Oh yeah. I still thought we would’ve won this one but getting nothing from our bench was going to catch up to us at some point.

And these are definitely the kinds of losses that come back to bite you at the end of the season.

    Oh s***.

    We're getting *this* Ja tomorrow

Career ending injury coming from Gabe tomorrow. His ankle is going to run the opposite way from his body. DLO and Austin won't do much better.

morant also did some jawing after we beat them last year about how it wasn't going to happen when he returned, so i'm guessing this one's circled. i'd sit AD.

If Lakers will lose this game it would be more embarrassing than Detroit game.

Memphis is without Bane,Smart and G Jackson and most importantly without coach.

In game that Lakers lost last season all injured players scored 90 points including Biyombo and collected 25 rebounds and Biyombo played 30 + minutes.
I am not sure that Zac Eddie and that guy from Spain capable of that and Morant not exactly sharp 3 points shooter
And if D-Lo would be outscored by Pippen Jr ,he should stay in Memphis and never ever come back to play for the Lakers.
