that's a pretty neat experience, and i think this stuff is real. it's part of why the redick interest never bothered me. there's both steve kerr and pat riley vibes there. doesn't mean he'll be as successful as them, but i see why people would believe.

and i actually saw the same characteristics in dan hurley. i just think jj was ready for our job and hurley wasn't. which is fine. hurley will have a great career doing what he wants to do. jj may end up having a higher profile gig and bigger name, though--competing on the biggest stage.

Wow! Night and day comparison with that fool who was incorrectly labeled a “coach” last season and the dude we have leading the team now.
I think the FO may have finally gotten the coaching hire right this time.

JJ took more accountability and responsibility in one loss than Ham did in two entire seasons. Own it. Learn and grow. We're not going 82-0, there's value in the mistakes for him early on.

    Can't claim favoritism after this.

It's really cool to see the stuff they discussed and broke down film on being utilized out there.

Yeah. Wasn't a game winner, but good play. AR just missed.

I'm really really happy with him. He won't be perfect but has a lot of the tools to succeed. He also gives me peace in that I trust the coaching staff will maximize the team. So now the main thing is to improve the roster. It's starting to make sense to go all in and maximize Bron/AD window

This got lost on the shuffle cause of the loss, but this is Bud before the Suns game... even the opposing coaches are pointing out the difference

And this comes from Bud. Who is, supposedly, Ham's "mentor". He probably tries to forget that time.

We had a lot of nice backdoor plays today, that’s what stood out to me anyway, getting some very easy baskets with movement

Who's the pudgy guy on staff with the gray hair .... anyone know? I was noticing him for the first time too in front of the bench in Toronto talking to one of the players. Can be seen toward the end of this last clip above.

@LTLakerFan time marker in the video?

Bron might've used the laptop John Wick style on Ham.

    Think Ham's password "Saginaw" or "Run_harder!" ?

The schedule is pretty soft for the next 8 games IMO. There should be plenty of good vibes, and probably a little bit of the typical Laker fan overconfidence flowing, coming up by Thanksgiving week. It starts to get real by the 22nd though.

The team needs THAT life. I can't imagine NOT mapping play and going out there like it's Venice Beach pickup game.

Well, we have got us another dud. Offense, JJ? Defense? Bron not playing like a damn moron? Some shots for Dalton?

    Deceiving SOB.

@sirronstuff you got the firejj.com, right?

Welp, his first bad loss of the season...and to be honest, Friday's game against Toronto FELT like a loss too

Horrible few games from JJ as a coach tbh...he needs to turn this around against Memphis. If we can't be a good road team, then this team is basically going nowhere

JJ not having Cam to finish the game was stupid. Dlo and Rui were getting picked on.

Team can't have AR try to be the defensive stopper.

At least he ditched Max god I wanted to poke my eyes out watching him play
