Optimism Discussion: The Laker's Sky Is Not Falling

There's the team we all know and love. I knew they would show up rather sooner than later. JJ made us all wait 5 games...

 

We got two gimmies next. Should be 5-2 at the end of the weekend, that's a good start.

Need those two games to work through some of these recently exposed problems and if we can put them away early, get our sick and banged up players some rest.

 

I feel good about us in the next 3 games if I'm being honest. I think we can get to 7-3 after 10 games as long as we take care of business which we all would have been happy with before the season started.

We had a really bad loss last night, but we can bounce back pretty quickly here as long as the team stays focused.

 

Agree: I like JJ as the coach. Rui and Reaves have taken a step up and I'm really bullish on Knecht. Hayes/Vincet are serviceable against the right team as well
Hopefully the Lakers win the rest of the games on this road trip and the FO finally pulls the trigger on trying to get the 1-2 more pieces they need.

 

ok, i'll tell it:

the two teams that have beaten us are a combined 9-1, and the one loss it to us.

the teams we've beaten are 8-2 in games not against us.

maybe...we're not that bad?

 

Kevin Durant is STILL a beast and Cleveland shot 98% from 3 in the first quarter.

 

said it another thread, but it bears repeating: what durant is doing is insane, imo. this is a guy nearing 35 on surgically repaired achilles, and he's the most terrifying offensive weapon in the league while being a plus on defense. i think his off-court/FA choices are hampering his stature. this is a very, very bad man out there right now.

We also can't feel THAT bad cuz the Raptors nearly beat the Nuggets too...

Usually we do take it easy against short handed teams...IM just glad we pulled it out because it was looking like we COULD blow a 25-point lead and lose again on the road...

Nexzt game shoudl also be a win...so it's a good oppotunity for us to build some moemntum here going into that memphis game which will be a tough one

 

If when Koloko is ready he can help Hayes out helping AD out or be even better helping him than Hayes …. it will Help. A lot. And either or both of Vando and Wood a whole bunch more. Will add a lot more size and specific talents to Redick’s options and lineups.

Good news is we have shown we can come back from 20+ point deficits.

mod course we’ve shown well also give back a 20 pt lead, but let’s focus on the positive

 

Toronto who played back to back beat Sacramento and same roster that played Lakers.
So Lakers are not that turrible
