Too young for Cleveland to give away. Would you do it for Butler? Now that is a Riley type move if Miami comes out creaking which they have a high chance IMO. That team no matter how good a coach they have look like a roster mess. Butler doesn't have a deal, he's old as f***, and Riley like Ainge would totally cover those Lakers picks
no picks for jimmy. he's quite old and could fall apart any second. we'd also have to empty the chamber, russ-style, in terms of roster talent. it would be a good swing hard before blowing it up move, but i'm not sure i'm at that point. talk to me in december.
This game sucked. Lebron looked like he wanted to take a nap and this team is going to suck if they can't hit open 3s Can have possessions where Rui, Max, Knecht, all miss wide open 3s in consecutive possession
glad i missed this one. oof. db's write up had the rotation: First off the bench was Christie for Bron, then Vincent in for AR and Hayes for Rui after about 7 minutes. When Russell sat, Bron would return to provide more playmaking. And, finally, as AD sat in the final minute, AR returned… In the second quarter, he went with the Hayes, Bron, Rui, Knecht, AR unit. A larger guard duo. Then, he’d rotate back in the other guys until closing the half with AD, Bron, Christie, Reaves and Russell interesting that he trusts christie enough to have him first off the bench and closing halves (i thought this might be gabe). i didn't expect that; he must be showing something in practice. interesting to run the two big lineup without lebron on the floor, as i figured lebron would like those minutes to do his james harden routine on offense. i like not playing any minutes without one of dlo or lebron on the floor.
Very Good: AD good: Rui on the glass Bad: just about everything else. Team was sleep walking this one. Our PGs were bad, our backup bigs were terrible and got destroyed on the glass. Also TJD should have been a Laker. Ugh!
Good: Ludabrow. Reeves brought energy. We won an opener, something that doesn't often happen. Bad: Dlo was asleep tonight.
My favorite thing about this win. We shot like s***, but we willed ourselves to the win with effort and play execution. I loved the defensive looks we gave with mixing in more 3/2 zone.
Sarcasm? Really can't tell after such a game. I haven't watched to be honest but it seems the Lakers won rather convincingly even though they missed next to everything from 3. Those shots will start falling, there are reasons for optimism.
I thought it was a solid start to the season. Nice to get a very convincing win against a good team. We led almost the entire game except the end of the first quarter when we let our foot off the gas. The great: AD. Also the energy of our starters in the first quarter. Some very nice D in evidence we hardly saw much of last season. The good: I liked what I saw from Rui especially as well, and Reaves and Knecht. The bad: we missed a lot of open looks and a lot of layups. Got to do better there. But the rebounding was much improved. I'll take it!
I'm not sure if we looked really good - better than I thought we could look in Game 1 - or if the Wolves were off a bit. Still not used to Julius. Still not used to KAT being gone. I watched all the preseason games and wasn't encouraged. Wasn't discouraged, either. Kept telling myself: they're right to let all these walk-ons and maybe-players get some minutes and let AD and Lebron rest. My big disappointment was Vando STILL not ready. And not looking even close. Yea man: we couldn't hit 3s, but we went up 19 over MIN. The D looked...dare I say it? Good. Even w/o Vando. AD was effing lit. He's looked ON every minute I've seen from him so far this year. Fingers crossed:re:health... Better movement on offense than last year: it has the prints of Redick all over it. Lots of guys moving w/o the ball. Good spacing and it will only get better. Our first Game 1 win since 2016. Oh yea: Chuckles is insufferable. I'm out.
