Honestly I don't care about how they're going to pay
Just in case Buha has YouTube channel that I am sure he covers same stuff
P S Just a few years ago ESPN + was free as part of ESPN magazine subscription and Athletic didn't exist
Now ESPN+ I think like 12 $ a month and ESPN insider also is paid service.
And ESPN+ isn't streaming any NBA games so you should pay for other services League pass or whatever to watch games.
    P. S.S I would rather read Slam magazine than ESPN or Athletic
    But it's just me

i think the internet warped our sense of the value of journalism, and it's had pretty disastrous consequences, imo.

pre-internet, you had to pay to get hoops magazines and physical newspapers to get hoops-related content. then it was everywhere. but how does one make a living writing about covering sports (or anything) now? substacks, etc., i guess, but otherwise, it's via charging for subscriptions like we did before the internet.

i do think they overcharge, though, and i haven't brought myself to actually purchasing any of them, as none have proven reliable enough (consistently have things i want to read) for my taste. marc stein's sub might be the closest i've come to actually supporting.

anyway, it's actually a large social problem to which i don't have a great answer.

Reaves and Caruso are different players. You act like they have a similar skillset. They are nothing alike, except for being undrafted 6-5 guards. I don't get it. Caruso is much more compatible with Lebron for obvious reasons.

I am not worried about Reaves getting his minutes, but he will have to share the court, same with DLO and Christie. Knecht is going to take it. Good problem to have though.

    SG: AR, Max, Knecht
    PG: DLO, Vincent

Only 20 minutes each, if they split all 96 minutes between each other. It should be very competitive. Not sure how JJ will figure this out. Vincent seems like the odd man out, who gets situational minutes. Is going to have to unequivocally earn his minutes. If ONLY the other 4 shared the time, they each get around 24 minutes.

Max and Knecht will play a ton at the 3 too. DLo and Reaves should play 30-35. Gabe, Max and Knecht around the 20s

It's a 9 man rotation, so 4 bench guys with 3 of them being Gabe, Max and Knecht. I think Cam may play some tonight just because Minny is so long

That’s pretty funny, but if they want to be fair they should have highlighted that 11 of Boston’s titles take place before 1970 when they had all the best players and the league had 14 or fewer teams. 12 of their titles took place before the merger. That means they have 6 titles from 1976 until now, not super impressive. Meanwhile the Lakers have won 11 championships from 1980 on. Seems like one side needs much more of an asterisk next to certain titles to me, and one side has clearly been the better franchise for as long as most people today can remember.

Meh they are just butt hurt because most LAKERS fans called their last title micky mouse and the only reason they won was because half of the NBA was on IR. They literally played everyone’s JV team .

They sure they don't want to terminate the deal entirely after AD gave him the business?

Weird because I thought you needed more of a defender but Knecht kind of turbo charges that Dlo, Rui, Reaves trio. With him in there with any of those 3, the defense faces yet another different look from a good offensive player (more of a movement shooter combined with the lob threat and a guy who can attack the defense off the bounce as a secondary guy). His size is nice as it fits in between big boy Rui and Reaves and he's got pretty good vision so that you can't really overplay him

NBA just got 70 billion in TV, very likely some of the stipulations are we can’t have stars sitting half the year and losing viewership because of load management. Just my theory.

    Why Embid ?
NBA should investigate Daryl Morey. He said earlier this month that the team will try for both Embiid and Paul George not to play in back-to-back games this season.

This is part of the new normal for Embiid this season, according to sources, a strategy to keep the former NBA MVP healthy for the postseason. The plan has been expected to include periodic time off during the regular season and routine evaluations from doctors and the 76ers medical staff, those sources said.

Sixers president of basketball operations Daryl Morey told ESPN's Tim Bontemps earlier this month that Philadelphia would try to keep both Embiid and Paul George out of back-to-backs this season.

"We're going to be smart about it. Part of being smart about it is having both Paul [George] and Joel probably not play many back-to-backs, if any," Morey said.
