Nance was 6'7.5" without shoes. He's going to play SF for us. I really believe that.

I think he'd have no problem defending SF's. He needs to work on his jumpshot though.

Nance would be a good body to put on the Carmelos and LeBrons of this world...

not exactly the fastest but probably fast enough to make it difficult for them.

Yeah, same on computer ^^^ Were there other photos, and what happened to posts in between?? Did N. Korea do this because still pissed off about The Interview? Referring to the Lakersball sticky thread, where Barns says we were down yesterday evening a bit because another site on same server got attacked.

Maybe there were no more posts between June 30 and that picture showing up yesterday, and it was the only picture? Quite possible I didn't go into that thread with all the excitement going on in the FA thread. Maybe I need to go back to bed and start over in an hour. :nerd:

He recorded well on the agility tests at the combine too I believe. I think he's obviously not as fast as LeBron, but he'd be able to defend him decently in the half-court. As decently as anyone can.

Needs to get his arms and upper body, maybe whole body, in the weight room a bit.

The latest on Okafor..... he looks really out of shape and slow.

Playing in high altitude, still putting up good numbers (18/9 and 13/9 on back-to-back games), and commanding doubles already. He looks out of shape, but he still looks good.

Yeah. im not going to hate on Okafor just because we took Russell. I personally think the Hibbert deal was set before the draft. We took Russell knowing we would either have Aldridge, DJ, Monroe OR Hibbert playing center, so they took who they believe was the best player in the draft. But if it weren't for the Hibbert deal, I'd still be wishing we took Okafor.

I sure hope he's got that inner fire to get in shape. I'm kind of worried he'd become Ed Curry 2.0

I don't think anyone will ever confuse the man with Adonis, but Curry struck me as a dude who played basketball BECAUSE he was 7 feet tall. Okafor strikes me as a dude who plays basketball AND is 7 feet tall.

Yeah that's a preposterous idea. Okafor looks like a 19 year old working his way into shape. How quickly we forget the pudgy 17 year old Center we drafted not too long ago.

You could hear the coaches saying, 'Run, Jah, Run', repeatedly to the rim during yesterday's game. Definitely some positives and negatives to his game, though. He's going to eat off of his face-ups and pick in roll right now. HIs agility, footwork, and ability to go around his defender is an advantage. He had one pick in roll yesterday and he got a layup out of it. He had another possession during the first game where he set a good screen and his teammate got 2 FT's out of it.

He's having trouble with being guarded with length, too. He's been swallowed up on multiple occasions. In the first game, I was wondering why they were even doubling him. He had generated only 4 points out of the post. Still, struggling defensively. Still missing FT's. Not very efficient overall quit yet. I do see where he could be highly effective, though, and he will need too be because his defense and FT shooting aren't very efficient right now. I think it will get better, though.

I've watched both of Jah's games and what has surprised me so far is his total lack of the awesome post footwork he showed in college. He's just not comfortable yet and he's clearly not in his best shape. Once he sheds some of that fat, I think we'll see a more nimble player and his offense will look great. Defensively he still looks lost whenever the ball goes away from him. His defensive awareness rating on 2K16 should be very low and I'm not sure the stellar teachers over there in Philly will help him with that. It's unfortunate but I think he'll be good instead of great and it really would have helped if he landed somewhere other than Philly.
