Please share …. she’s stepping into mighty big shoes if she’s Phil Handy’s replacement? I know nothing of her until today.

She’s a former WNBA player, played at Duke like JJ, G-League coach of the year last year

First woman to win D-League COY, she will likely figure heavily in our development program. Like everything I'm reading about her.

Yes I learned all that today … she sounds great with a really impressive resume and she and Redick have all that past familiarity. I was referring to the praise of her being especially good at player development, which is what Handy did. Does she have similar type skills in that area with the actual mechanics teaching too of all the elite moves and such. Is she his replacement? Why I said big shoes to fill.

My understanding is that the answer to most of this is yes. I will look for some specific articles or posts when I get some free time today.

OK I think I like our assistant staff LOTS. Doesn’t sound like Rajon will be happening. Any of our guys reputed to be at least in same zip code for Vogel’s level of coaching Defense?

OK read more in the info above Weezy collected. Looks like Cranjis "expects" Nate to be the one tasked with being the "D" guy. Has he been reputed to be good at it in the past with his teams?

There are a lot clips of Lindsey working drills with players. No one I know is ribbing me about this hire, which is usually the case when the Lakers do something stupid. Just another very nice fit and one more reason to watch. Another thing too, jj likes her and is comfortable with her. That in itself is huge. Every coach needs that one person away from everyone else they can vent freely with.

If I were a clairvoyant for 1, 2, 3 years into the future, and was like some of "you people" that cap the ceiling and careers of young players as easily as you'd kill a bug in your house .... I might say something sarcastic like oh great they brought in Lindsey to be "nanny" for Bronny. ;) :giggle: But that's incredibly demeaning to her abilities and her chops and her charisma from what I'm reading, and I'm NOT that guy. KH and OX might be going though ..... Damn why didn't I come up with that? Or NOT. Just teasing.

But all you career cappers .....

JJ dresses more casual in public than I have seen any NBA coach do so before.

May be the dawn of a new day, but it does seem to radiate lack of professionalism. I don’t wanna see my coach running around in skinny jeans and tight T-shirts.

“McMillian and Brooks” is a great name for a buddy cop T.V. Series from the 80s. You know, the kind where they are from completely different socio-economic backgrounds, are stuck together as partners on the toughest beat, and really hate each other for the first half of Season One?
I’ve already written the first half season out in my head.

The coaching staff seems really good. So, whatever happens, I’m cool for now.

if JJ succeeds, then great. If he fails, at least we have other people on the bench that could easily be promoted to replace him and do really good.
