exactly one thing that stuck out to me during one of randle's recent interviews is that theyre not thinking about set positions like the 3 or the 4 theyre embracing the versatility they have and that makes them much more dangerous.

people will say that kobe and hibbert will slow them down but the fact of the matter is that as the team plays together they will read each other better and adapt to whats working

and the verstaility is gonna be killer if we wanna play big we can throw out

    clarkson/kobe/randle/bass/hibbert

if we wanna go small we can throw out

    russ/lou will/kobe/nance/randle

    the possibilities are endless

the moral of the story is versatility

We can go small with Randle at the 5, but still pretty big since our two guards are 6'5.

Well said. Thats what I love the most about these guys. Randle seems to have the same approach.

The Bulls used to get fast break opportunities in their sleep, even during the second 3-peat when they began slowing down and that was with lugs like Longley and Wennington and Harper, Kerr, etc. Not exactly speedsters.

Yeah I'm just not sure why people assume fast breaks require 5 fast guys. We've got three players who can rebound and initiate a fast break on every single possession. Heck Kobe can run a fast break once in a while. That's plenty. That's fine. Four guys on a fast break is a crowd and five is improper fast break technique.

If we're really desperate to run more, we go with Clarkson/Williams/A. Brown/Randle/Black. That team will run all day long.... but probably not play very good defense.

Your hypothetical lineups get even better when you don't leave out Boom Boom. Dude can run too and probably is as strong or stronger than Bass. I wonder? Bass is a stud.

Russell, Clarkson and Randle is likely your three on the breakout on the projected starting line-up. The trailer will be a huge Mack truck.

That's what I like to hear. Kind of expected with as much work as he's put in this summer.

Man I love this. Reading about a group of young guys and just about everything around them is positive right now. It hasn't felt like this in a long, long time.

Clarkson just seems like one of those kids who never stops working. I love it. You can see in that video up there he definitely looks more explosive.

^Well...Clarkson spoke of working on his game and physique this summer in preparation for the upcoming season. He's young and can maintain the pace. He's exhibiting a tenacious work ethic that 24 and Scott I'm sure respect. I read somewhere that both men challenged Clarkson to be better. He knows he has more to prove, is doing something about it and isn't telling everyone he'll be at some tropical island paradise.

I really like hearing the leadership role he's already taking in just his 2nd year.

Yes. I didn't either until a month or so ago. Apparently that is self "glossed". What does that tell you? (CL weightlifting guy)
