And then whoever JJ is close who's qualified for that 4th spot.

Back of bench, don't care. But fill the damn positions the day after we figure this roster out. I understand the signings and trades are priority 1 but this is getting old.

I know in a vacuum missing out on Casey isn’t a big deal (in fact I might even prefer Gentry) but the optics of this offseason so far are just supremely embarrassing

 

I was going to tell you in the FA thread to avoid this one; I wanted to save you from some misery tonight.

 

What's worse getting turned down by Casey or getting turned down by Stotts under three separate coaching regimes?


Cause both happened.

 

The luster of the brand has worn thin years ago.

Honestly...The Redick hire, wasn't exactly embraced, as this great move, outside of the Laker Nation. I imagine that top assistants, or former HC, might be a little leary of how we operate.

I mean...we made a mad dash for Hurley at the last minute, when supposedly Redick was being looked at, as the next Pat Riley.

Someone is going to take these jobs eventually, it's still a decent paycheck. Unless we are offering less than the going rate.

Stotts interviewed for the head coaching spot. Expecting him to turn around and then be an assistant here after getting passed over was always a long shot.

 

Big part of selling folks on this hire was the awesome staff we would put around JJ.

The front office needs to deliver here.

 

Most of the time the head coach has already recruited the staff he will be bringing with him.

I hear crickets…

 

I agree but with an unknown guy like JJ, I would think all the power players would know that they were going to have to work together to put a staff together.

Plus it’s not like the front office hasn’t put people they wanted on the staff before.

 

And now we've got this s*** head yapping

 

Can’t stand Karl but I do worry about what the coaching fraternity is saying about us right now.
