    They only care that 18>17
And BSPN will remind that whole summer long about rivalry especially that Walton and West both died.
    And it's actually 16 years since 2008

the C Bags winning aside, this has easily been the worst finals since the cavs-KD warriors finals in 17 and 18. neither team has played great at all, but boston is just deeper and plays better as a team. the mavs are the worst team to come out of the west in recent memory. its too bad minny choked and denver coasted, because both teams would've matched up far better vs the C Bags

sucks to see boston surpassing the lakers, but its not like they've been able to say they've outdone the lakers much in the last 30 years. still just two titles since the 80s. we managed to tie them after all those finals losses in the 60s and i know one day the lakers will surpass them

    f*** Boston

    This was funny though

Nash's face after the elbow. It's like Dirk pulled the string in his back

Not if the Lakers keep making stupid decisions by firing head coaches every 2 years

Boston did a good job building that team, you have to give them that. They have one antidote in this league, and their name is Denver Nuggets. Unfortunately, the Nuggets did not have the mental toughness this year and this is the result.

And White, he's the same age too. They should pay him what he wants, he's insanely great. Him and Jrue are just a cheat code. We really need to get Caruso back, he's the same type though less gifted offensively. These guys don't make a mistake and are constantly making winning plays

Yeah their starting 5 is unmatched. But they do lack a Jokic stopper. It would have been a great matchup, maybe next year unfortunately

The Nuggets big mistake was thinking they could win without really replacing Bruce Brown and not getting a better reliable backup/partner for Jokic.

Unfortunately, the C Bags being able to get good work out of Tillman just shows that even without KP, they can still compete given their depth. Their bench was an unsung hero in their W today...

Meanwhile, Dallas role players were useless.

guess the C Bags will finally be able to fill that blank banner that's been hanging at their practice facility since 09 or so

last year the nuggests were a budding dynasty, this year it's boston. it's neither. boston got incredibly lucky with health for both them and their opponents. horford will finally age out soon, as will holiday, and they won't be able to replace them at the same cost. tatum will be on a supermax like jaylen, and they won't be able to just add 30 million dollar players for their 4th and 5th slots.

they needed to win this year and they did.

the mavs role players (and kyrie in games 1 and 2) weren't ready.

people killing luka when he's been by far the best player in the series. and i'm sorry, fouling him out on that is ridiculous. tatum shoved him out of bounds on a layup attempt with no whistle in the same game. he bumps jaylen brown 14 ft from the hoop and it's curtains?

whatever, dallas wasn't winning this series, but that was junk.

edit: lakers-related complaint: where were these officials when we played denver? jokic could foul out in the first half of every game, tbh.

Is that customary to hang an empty banner til you win it? Is that next to the toilet entrance?

that was a Doc Rivers thing if I remember right, and then they left it up. Doubt they continue after this one.

Yeah I thought that but Tatum, Brown, White gives you good 5 to 7 in their prime. With the cap going up and these guys locked up, they have a great base they just need to fine tune. But yeah I don't trust Tatum and Brown leading a dinasty.

Tatum has been awful btw, he's out fo my list of pipedream superstars to come after Bron
I like the idea actually. Puts a chip on their shoulders

I think the empty banner was lame. Just like the Dwight stay billboards we put up.
