i think both he and the C Bags have a strong interest in him trying to go. first, he's always injured anyway. he was going to miss 40 games next year one way or another, might as well be recovering from surgery with a ring on his finger. even if he injures it so badly he never plays again, he gets to go out on top and deliver a title. and he's under contract for two more years, so he's financially secure if he has a terrible injury that makes him miss a year plus. pair that with boston just not really giving a s*** about its players since forever, and you've got a recipe for a guy trying to play.

his attempt will also invigorate the team spirit, etc.

if you're dallas, you have to just attack relentlessly and without mercy. it wasn't your choice to put an injured guy out there, and he killed you in game 1. you have to find ways to get him moving and don't let him shoot without having to floor it and go hard past a closeout.

if boston does sit him, the mavs should take it as an insult and use it as motivation/pressure release. kidd needs to earn his money here as a guy who knows how to get people's minds right. because if zinger does sit, there's huge letdown potential on dallas's side, imo. gotta push them through that and reframe it. it's an insult. they think they can win without him. let's go.

Porzingis has been ruled out for Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Mavericks on Wednesday due to a left posterior tibialis dislocation.

Have any of these super tall unicorns other than Kareem had a healthy career?
Sampson, Yao, Walton, Ilgauskas, Porzingis: biggest fear about Wemby is that his body just won't be able to handle a sport that requires a lot of pressure on those extended bones and joints.

Yeah it's too much tear on their knees and legs.
I think Wemby will be a good one to watch. His body work is unmatched since young age, a lot of stretching, yoga and whatnot. Hope he's able to endure. Him and Chet, they bring a lot of fun to the league

the answer is no, and i'll be skeptical until someone does. wemby made it through year one, but with a ton of rest and care. and so did sampson and zinger, and yao (iirc).

chet looks like he has marfan syndrome, imo--and my opinion here is sorta useless, just based on having known about the disorder and then seeing chet for the first time and being like..."that's what that is". so i may be wrong, and it probably would have turned up on medicals during the draft process.

whatever it is, those unique builds are great for the ability to play the game but have to be very difficult to sustain when keeping pace with other incredible athletes.

If you have to watch the broadcast with Kevin Hart and the three idiots, it’s so terrible.

luckily, I found a broadcast without it

Looks like Porzingis is done for the season.

    Keith Smith
    @KeithSmithNBA
Woj just said on Countdown that Kristaps Porzingis wanted to play, but that the C Bags medical staff chose to hold him out.

Also said that that is real doubt that Porzingis will be able to return at any point in the series.

Winning a title in the modern NBA is hard. A lot of talented teams and the salary cap makes it hard to keep a team together.

Good for the C Bags for having the balls and the assets to get Jrue and Porzingis. Plus that contract for Brown is looking good all of a sudden. There going to be contention barring injury for the next 5 years just based on Tatum and Browns age
