dallas is depending on several guys who've never played real minutes in this situation, whereas boston's guys pretty much all have, some several times over. gs did it to boston a couple years ago. it's dallas's turn.

    tatum's still overrated, though.

i just think some mavs players haven't seen this level of competition yet. if they get back, they'll be better prepared. only luka isn't cowed. well, kyrie isn't cowed, but he isn't properly amped, either.

you can say that about any game. Mavericks just needed Kyrie to show up in game 2 and he was non existent again.

    Some massive injury news

Getting pain injections before (and probably at the half) isn't great.

But on Boston's front Porzingis is hurt again

zinger getting a leg injury is like the sun coming up.

doncic's chest injury actually sounds kinda scary to me, from a health perspective? or did i google the wrong thing?

man, had dallas been able to buy a bucket from deep in either of the first two games, things could be looking very different right now.

as it stands, boston can afford to lose zinger up 2 games. they'll just play horford a ton of minutes.

Some more on the Porzingis injury.

Anything comprising stability to the surrounding area isn't worth the risk. Completely different injury but see KD and what happened there.

The injury is unrelated to Porzingis’s prior right calf injury. After consultation with numerous specialists regarding this rare injury, his availability for upcoming games will be determined day-to-day.”
Porzingis: “I’ll do everything I have to to be out there tomorrow….nothing is going to stop me unless I’m told I’m not allowed to play.”
So basically Horford will play 40+ minutes
    Dallas in 6

Subject to the recommendations of a competent and experienced orthopedic traumatologist, the medial collater ligament heals for 3-4 weeks, depending on the degree of initial damage.
    How he's day-to-day ?
He's not going to play through pain

I saw Porzingis is walking around fine during practice today...sounds a bit disproportionate to what's being announced as his injury? I mean if he was in a walking boot he'd be out.

He may just wear an ankle brace and be on the court. But sounds like it'll be up to the Boston team physicians to clear him or not.

Ultimately, this his is the Finals, Luka seems also at big risk of doing more knee damage with his knee sprain and chest/rib problem. The guy looks like he can barely run at times...

No idea man, buddy of mine just sent it to me. Strange, that they would use Kobe, so it might be shopped i guess. It better be.

Kristaps says he'll lop off both his testicles before he doesn't play Game 3. :D Warrior! Not really .... I lied ;) .... not that dramatic. Just says he'll "die" out there if need be.

boston won't even miss a beat with porzingis out. they've been playing without him most of the playoffs anyways

dallas needed to get 1 of the first 2 to win the series, imo. they'll find a way to get game 7 at home without porzingis. there will be no fouls called.

now, if they horford or holiday's old bones also deteriorate...

as for irving: if he was who people say he is, the series would be 1-1 and dallas would be in the driver's seat.

He is questionable tonight, I think there’s some hope that he’s going to be able to warm up and then see if he can play… He want’s to play badly”
